Los cambios y dinámicas que caracterizan el contexto actual precisan que las empresas cuenten con recursos humanos altamente calificados en su especialidad. En Cuba, se hace necesario un estudio profundo en las entidades y en especial de las pertenecientes al sector turístico, relacionado con la capacitación de los directivos cubanos y el desarrollo de sus habilidades. Tal es el caso de la agencia Havanatur Celimar, en la cual se pudo comprobar que sus directivos y reservas muestran signos de no prestarles la debida atención que precisa el desarrollo de las habilidades directivas. La presente ponencia tiene como objetivo proponer estrategias para el desarrollo de las habilidades directivas en los cuadros de la agencia de viajes Havanatur Celimar. Para ello se utilizó un procedimiento de elaboración propia a partir de diferentes metodologías consultadas sobre el tema y una serie de métodos, técnicas y herramientas que permitieron la realización de un análisis integral de los principales elementos determinantes de la gestión de habilidades y competencias de los directivos. Como principales resultados se identificaron las brechas existentes en el desarrollo de habilidades directivas en la agencia objeto de estudio, y se propusieron una serie de estrategias en aras de lograr una mayor capacitación de los directivos de la entidad. Esto permitirá contribuir a la consolidación de una adecuada cultura organizacional entre el personal de la agencia, lo que incidirá de forma positiva en su gestión y resultados finales.
El emprendimiento se posiciona como un elemento relevante en el sector turístico, debido a su capacidad de crear productos creativos e innovadores. A escala internacional, el cicloturismo constituye una actividad de crecimiento vertiginoso, de ahí que constituya una tendencia en el desarrollo de proyectos de carácter emprendedor. La presente investigación tiene como objetivo proponer un plan de negocios para un emprendimiento de servicios cicloturísticos en Artemisa, Cuba. La idea de negocio propuesta se desarrolló bajo la metodología del modelo Canvas, donde el uso de diferentes métodos científicos, tanto teóricos como empíricos, permitieron recopilar, procesar y analizar información bibliográfica referente a la demanda del emprendimiento planteado y al entorno, al igual que información estadística resultante del procesamiento de los cuestionarios aplicados. Como principal resultado de la investigación destaca la propuesta del emprendimiento Artemisa Ride´s Bike, el cual se proyecta como un negocio que pretende el acercamiento al patrimonio histórico, cultural y natural de Artemisa, fortalecido en la práctica de la actividad cicloturística. Asimismo, se determinó el segmento de demanda objetivo del emprendimiento y de las características y preferencias que lo tipifican, lo cual constituyó la base para la definición de los elementos que integran la metodología Canvas. Por último, se demostró que la empresa resulta factible desde el punto de vista cualitativo y cuantitativo, de ahí que posea una proyección óptima para su implementación.
La crisis ocasionada por el virus Covid-19 ha tenido un alcance y unas consecuencias a nivel mundial nunca antes imaginadas, siendo uno de los sectores más afectados, el turismo. Es por ello que cada país tiene la responsabilidad de estudiar la nueva normalidad para combatir de forma gradual los efectos de la crisis, por lo que esta investigación se propone una evaluación de la situación del turismo en Ecuador antes de la crisis, las consecuencias de esta para el sector turístico ecuatoriano y la propuesta de estrategias que posibiliten reactivar la actividad turística en el país. Además, a través, de la aplicación de 300 cuestionarios gerentes, empresarios y emprendedores de establecimientos turísticos registrados por el MINTUR, se concluyeron los escenarios más probables a generarse en el país.
