Objetivo: Relatar a fratura diafisária de tíbia e fíbula no cenário esportivo, trazendo particularidades do esporte profissional e da escolha do tratamento aplicada ao contexto. Revisão bibliográfica: A fratura de tíbia e fíbula é uma lesão de incidência relevante e requer atenção especial em atletas, realizada por meio da escolha do tratamento e do retorno precoce às atividades. Deve-se atentar ao mecanismo de lesão e classificar adequadamente a fratura para indicar o tratamento. Os exames de imagem são importantes para identificar lesões associadas e evitar armadilhas. O retorno ao esporte é multifatorial e depende da gravidade da lesão e da abordagem utilizada para o tratamento. Entretanto, apenas parte dos atletas alcançam o mesmo nível pré-lesão. Considerações finais: Um diagnóstico preciso com medidas iniciais de tratamento em tempo adequado é crucial. A haste intramedular é uma boa escolha de tratamento e, aliada a reabilitação, apresenta bons resultados. A liberação precoce do apoio e o início imediato da fisioterapia são facilitados por esta modalidade operatória, permitindo que o cuidado do atleta seja otimizado.
Objetivo: Fornecer através de uma revisão narrativa uma ampla abordagem sobre o tratamento cirúrgico do Câncer de Pele Não-Melanoma (CPNM). Revisão bibliográfica: O CPNM, que corresponde ao Carcinoma Basocelular (CBC) e ao Carcinoma Espinocelular (CEC), é atualmente o câncer mais comum no mundo em todas as faixas etárias e em ambos os sexos. Esse tipo de neoplasia apresenta menor índice de mortalidade se tratada de forma correta. O principal fator de risco conhecido associado ao desenvolvimento da doença é a exposição excessiva e crônica ao sol. Uma vez diagnosticado pelo dermatologista o CPNM possui uma série de tratamentos disponíveis que varia de acordo com as características de cada lesão. A cirurgia tanto para o CBC quanto para o CEC, é considerada o tratamento de escolha pelos profissionais da área, apresentando as maiores taxas de cura e menores taxas de recidivas. Considerações finais: A detecção precoce dos casos de CPNM e instituição de tratamento adequado em tempo hábil é fundamental para evitar desfechos desfavoráveis. A abordagem cirúrgica atualmente é considerada a melhor estratégia terapêutica para esse tipo de neoplasia.
