R E S U M OPropôs-se, neste trabalho, avaliar a qualidade fisiológica das sementes de soja ao longo do armazenamento durante 180 dias em diferentes teores de água e em duas condições de temperatura. Foram utilizadas sementes de soja, cultivar CD 242 RR com teores de água iniciais de 12, 13 e 14% (b.u.). As sementes foram adquiridas com o teor de água de 11,0% (b.u.); em seguida, foram umedecidas em câmara BOD a 20 o C e 85% de umidade relativa, homogeneizadas e acondicionadas em sacos plásticos de polipropileno; as embalagens foram mantidas em dois ambientes distintos. Com vista à avaliação das sementes ao longo do armazenamento foram realizadas as análises de teor de água, germinação, primeira contagem da germinação, índice de velocidade de germinação e condutividade elétrica. O experimento foi conduzido no delineamento inteiramente casualizado, segundo o esquema fatorial triplo 2 x 4 x 3 (duas condições de armazenamento, quatro tempos de armazenamento e três teores de água), com três repetições. O teor de água inicial influencia na qualidade das sementes de soja durante o armazenamento. O ambiente climatizado (20 °C) proporciona melhores resultados em todas as características estudadas. Physiological quality of soybean seeds stored in different conditions A B S T R A C TThe objective of this study was to evaluate the physiological quality of the soybean seed during storage for 180 days at different moisture contents and two temperatures. Seeds of soybean, cultivar CD 242RR with initial moisture contents of 12, 13 and 14.0% (w.b.) were used. The seeds were acquired with a moisture content of 11.0% (w.b.), then were soaked in growth chamber at 20 °C and 85% relative humidity, homogenized and packed in polypropylene bags. The vials were kept in two different environments. For the evaluation of seeds during storage analysis of moisture content, germination, speed of germination and electrical conductivity were conducted. The experiment was conducted in a completely randomized design, according to the triple factorial 2x4x3 (two storage conditions, four storage times and three levels of moisture) with three replications. The initial moisture content influenced the quality of soybean seeds during storage. The sunflower grains were collected with an initial moisture content of 0.5267 dry basis Cinética de secagem dos grãos de girassol R E S U M OObjetivou-se, neste trabalho, ajustar diferentes modelos matemáticos aos dados experimentais da secagem dos grãos de girassol, determinar e avaliar o coeficiente de difusão efetivo e obter a energia de ativação para o processo durante a secagem em diversas condições de ar. Os grãos de girassol foram colhidos com teor de água inicial de 0,5267 base seca (b.s) e submetidos à secagem em estufa com ventilação de ar forçada em cinco condições de temperatura: 35, 50, 65, 80 e 95 °C, até atingir o teor de água de 0,0934 ± 0,0061(b.s). Dentre os modelos analisados, o de Wang e Singh, apresentou os melhores ajustes e foi escolhido para descrever o fenômeno de secagem. O coeficiente de difusão efetivo aumenta com a elevação da temperatura do ar e apresenta uma energia de ativação para a difusão líquida na secagem do girassol de 29,55 kJ mol -1 .

INTRODUÇÃOO conhecimento das propriedades termodinâmicas, em processos de secagem de produtos agrícolas, é importante para projetar equipamentos de secagem, estudar as propriedades da água adsorvida, calcular a energia requerida neste processo e, ainda, avaliar a microestrutura dos alimentos e o estudo dos fenômenos físicos que ocorrem na superfície dos alimentos (Corrêa et al. 2010). Algumas propriedades termodinâmicas são utilizadas na análise do comportamento de sorção, em sistemas biológicos que incluem o calor isostérico de sorção, entropia e entalpia diferencial e teoria da compensação, que são calculados a partir de isotermas de sorção (Thys et al. 2010 O estudo das propriedades termodinâmicas proporciona o conhecimento da afinidade do sorvente pela água e da espontaneidade do processo de sorção, sendo importante para projetar equipamentos de secagem. Este trabalho visou a determinar e avaliar as propriedades termodinâmicas, para diferentes teores de água de equilíbrio em grãos de milho, utilizando-se o método estático indireto. O experimento foi desenvolvido em Rio Verde (GO), utilizando-se grãos de milho da cultivar AG 7088, com teor inicial de água de 23,3% (base seca -b.s.), os quais foram submetidos a secagem (40ºC), até atingirem teor de água de 14,4% (b.s.). ABSTRACT. The purpose of this study was to determine the thermodynamic properties of the process of water sorption in forage turnip seeds. The equilibrium moisture content of forage turnip seeds was determined by the gravimetric-dynamic method for different values of temperature and water activity. According to the results, increasing the moisture content increases the energy required for the evaporation of water in forage turnip seeds, and the values of integral isosteric heat of desorption, within the moisture content range of 3.33 to 11.30 (% d.b.), varies from 4,222.70 to 2,870.34 kJ kg -1. With the elevation in the equilibrium moisture content, there is an increase in differential entropy and Gibbs free energy, which has positive values, demonstrating non-spontaneity in the process of desorption in the seeds. The theory of enthalpy-entropy compensation can be satisfactorily applied to the sorption phenomenon, and the process of water desorption of forage turnip seeds is controlled by enthalpy.

Objective of the present work to investigate the influence of different temperature conditions in the environment and moisture content in the seeds over six months of storage on the incidence of fungi in soybean seeds, as well as the quality of the crude oil extracted from the seeds. Soybean seeds were used with initial moisture contents of 12.0; 13.0; and 14.0% (w.b.) which were placed in plastic bags of polypropylene, over a period of 180 days in two different environments: lab environment (uncontrolled conditions: 27 ± 0.6 °C), airconditioned environment (20 ± 1.2 °C). The health of the seeds was evaluated by identifying and counting the percentage of infected kernels. For assessing the quality of crude oil extracted from the seeds were carried out oil content, acidity index and peroxide value. The experiment was a triple factorial 2 x 3 x 4, completely randomized design with three replications. Soybean seeds, disinfected and not disinfected were analyzed separately. Data were analyzed using analysis of variance and regression, the means were compared using Tukey's test at 5% significance. The initial moisture content of 14.0% (w.b.) provides greater fungal incidence rate at the end of storage in soybean seeds not disinfected. The atmospheric temperature during storage interferes with the quality of the crude oil extracted from the soybean seeds. The temperature of 27 °C causes more increase in acid number soybean oil during storage.

Foram utilizados grãos de soja da cultivar M7211RR colhidos no município de Santa Helena de Goiás-GO, com teor de água inicial de aproximadamente 0,30 base seca (b.s. decimal) e secos até atingir 0,13 (b.s.). O experimento foi conduzido no Laboratório de Pós-Colheita de Produtos Vegetais do Instituto Federal Goiano -Câmpus Rio Verde. Durante o processo de secagem, os eixos ortogonais (comprimento, largura e espessura) dos grãos de soja foram medidos para determinação do diâmetro geométrico. Para a obtenção da contração volumétrica, os grãos foram secos em bandejas e posteriormente colocados em proveta graduada e assim a redução do volume do produto foi acompanhada ao longo da secagem. O aumento da temperatura de 50 °C para 90 °C diminui o tempo de secagem de 7,66 horas para 1,98 horas, promovendo a celeridade do processo em 3,87 vezes. O índice de contração volumétrica e o diâmetro geométrico da soja diminuem ao longo da secagem e este efeito é intensificado com o aumento da temperatura. The experiment was conducted at Laboratório de Pós-Colheita de Produtos Vegetais of the Instituto Federal Goiano -Câmpus Rio Verde. During the drying process, the orthogonal axes (length, width and thickness) of soy beans were measured to determine the geometric diameter. To obtain the volumetric shrinkage, the soy bean was dried on trays and then placed in graduated cylinder and thus reducing the volume of product was monitored throughout the drying. Increasing the temperature of 50 °C to 90 °C decreases the drying time of 7.66 hours to 1.98 hours, streamlining the process for 3.87 times. The rate of shrinkage and the diameter geometric of soybean decreases during drying, and this effect is intensified with increasing temperature.
