The paper studies the antioxidant potential of a pharmaceutical composition (PhC) based on cathiazine (a camphoric acid derivative with a sperm-stimulating action) and succinic acid within the paracetamol-induced hepatitis in rats. We determined the content of the lipids peroxidation (LPO) products, content of the stable nitric oxide metabolites and activity of the antioxidant system in the liver, serum or whole blood. Authors found that, when administered orally to rats with hepatitis, the PhC stimulated a glutathione unit of the antioxidant system as well as restored (up to a control level) the intensity of LPO processes, content of the nitrite and nitrate anions in the liver and whole organism, in such a way ensuring the functional state of the liver normalization. The obtained results testify good prospects of using the PhC with cathiazine + succinic acid as a hepatic protector with the pronounced antioxidant properties in correcting the general liver pathology and its combination with the impaired spermatogenesis.
The aim of this article is to explore the ways of euthanasia regulation and to propose the most effective one. Materials and methods: The authors of the article used the methods of analysis and synthesis, a comparative legal method. The scientific literature is evaluated and analyzed along with the experience of European countries, data of Ukrainian and international organizations and the results of scientific researches. Conclusions: the understanding of euthanasia should be reviewed in terms of the possibility in exceptional cases of its executing for terminally ill person. This is an inherent human right. However, it is established that the right to dispose of his life belongs exclusively to the bearer of this right and it cannot be delegated.
This article touches upon the problem of organizing security space under the conditions of armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine in 2022. According to the understanding of the “security” concept, it is determined that the security space should put a state and its vital interests under protection from any internal and external threats. It is emphasized that in conditions of armed aggression, the central components of the security space should be international (global) security and national security. The main areas of international (global) security should include the development and control of weapons, the fight against international terrorism, the development by the international community of effective mechanisms for countering modern global security challenges (proliferation of mass destruction weapons, namely nuclear weapons). Inclusion of military, state, information and cyber security is proposed as the main areas of national security.
The aim: Is to review the current state of Ukraine’s drug policy development, primarily on criminal justice response to crimes committed by a person under the influence of drug addiction, to evaluate its compliance with international standards and best foreign practices. Materials and methods: The study is based on the analysis of international documents, drug control strategies, sociological research in this area. The article is grounded on dialectical, systemic, and structural, comparative legal methods, methods of analysis, and synthesis. Conclusions: The search for effective measures to tackle drug-related crimes remains an integral part of drug policy both in Ukraine and abroad. Programs for the prevention, medical and psychological rehabilitation of addicts need a scientific basis. The current situation, in which criminal justice does not consider the specifics of persons who have committed criminal offenses due to mental disorders connected with the use of psychoactive substances, is not effective in terms of recidivism prevention and ensuring public safety.
