Kemerovo State University, the largest institution of higher education in Kuzbass, has a significant contingent of foreign students. The article is devoted to pedagogical interaction modeling of teaching a foreign language in multiethnic groups of the University. The basis for modeling is the textbook of English designed specifically for students of different ethnic groups in order to develop different language skills along with the skills of proper intercultural interaction, successful social adaptation, as well as self-education skills. The content of the textbook is divided into thematic units - modules. Special attention is paid to the text selection as a main communicative and didactic unit of educational content. The practical tasks are classified into three groups. The first group tasks are based on the teaching methods and techniques outside the communicative reality. The second group tasks involve teaching in educational communicative reality. The third group tasks are developed to contribute teaching in natural communicative reality.
Education is traditionally considered a non-profitable, non-commercial branch of the service sector. However, education includes hidden financial, market, social and political resources that ensure the sustainable development of an individual region. Kemerovo State University (KemSU) holds itself out not only as an educational center of the coal region, but also as a center for assembling new-generation specialists capable of supplying labor resources for the main coal and other industries in Russia and other countries. Training takes place in multinational groups, which inevitably leads to the need for pedagogical interaction research in cultural dialogue and intercultural communication. Its organizational component reflects interaction essence and is particularly important. It is a set of educational forms, methods and technologies by which the set goals and objectives are achieved as a result of the interaction and cooperation of all pedagogical interaction subjects, their cooperation and management of the whole process. We believe that the implementation of this component will ensure the sustainable development of human capital in higher education environment to the coal region.
Training of highly qualified specialists is a significant factor for the consistent progress in any branch of economics. Kemerovo State University provides training of specialists for the coal mining region in Russia. Nowadays, the University tends to increase the proportion of foreign students as well. Most of these are students from neighboring countries, such as Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, where raw materials industries, including mining, are developed. Taking into account the multi-ethnic diversity of students at Kemerovo State University, we analyzed the experience and determined the worthwhile forms of organizing independent activity in EFL teaching. Among the forms of independent activity, we introduced independent reading, preparing thematic presentations, written tasks based on video content, and writing thematic essays. Organizing independent work in the educational process, which involves a large number of multinational groups of students, we took into account the following conditions. We considered such particular qualities of contemporary students as their general need in flexible learning environment as well as in self-expression; we took into account their interest in new knowledge and motivation for self- improvement, and at the same time, lack of desire for completing reproductive types of tasks, along with fragmented thinking.
The present research featured the psychological and pedagogical conditions that shape the learning environment in the multiethnic space at university. The article focuses on the methods and technologies that develop a multiethnic learning environment based on the psychological phenomena of leadership and group norms. These methods evolved from psychological theories of leadership, norm formation, and small group development. The article also describes how these methods and technologies can be implemented in practice in order to provide the most favorable environment in conditions of ethnic diversity. The technologies include directing leader’s activity and developing group norms. The first technology sets behavior patterns and develops personal qualities of the leader while attracting other students’ attention to his or her activities. The method of developing group norms includes instruction, group discussion, private counseling on intercultural issues, and teacher’s own role model. Methods and technologies for creating a favorable learning environment are based on the need to bring up an ethno-oriented personality. These methods affect psychological characteristics of students, especially those associated with the ability to modify one’s behavior for beneficial intercultural communication. In the context of the multicultural learning practice, the educational tasks of the selected technologies of psycho-pedagogical interaction are to immerse students in the cognitive multicultural process, thus using the multicultural environment of the university as a factor of self-development.
Современный мир пронизывает глобализация, которая влияет на семиотику повседневного состояния русского языка. В данной статье предпринимается попытка проанализировать теоретическую литературу, описывающую изменения системы русского языка новейшего периода. Изменения в лексической системе и фразеологии русского языка занимают главенствующую позицию среди тенденций развития русского языка данного периода. Проведенный обзор позволяет заключить, что в современных лингвистических исследованиях наблюдается смещение приоритетов: от описания количественных и/или качественных изменений на разных уровнях современного русского языка к обсуждению дискуссионного вопроса о том, какое влияние на язык оказывают процессы, происходящие в российском обществе и во всем мире. Практическая значимость исследования заключается в описании заимствований из английского языка, которые используются современными российскими средствами массовой информации. Ключевые слова: современное состояние русского языка, основные тенденции развития русского языка, глобальное гипертекстуальное пространство.
