Abstract. Analysis and tendencies in labor potential development are part of a complex socio-economic system. This system as well as its state is of great importance for justification of investments and further vectors of development. At present, however, there is no generally accepted methodology for labor potential assessment. The authors introduce the index method to assess basic characteristics of labor potential taking the Samara region as an example. The research is based on the calculations labor potential indices in the Samara region. The authors detect changes in labor potential structure which are due to the growth of indices of education, labor efficiency and scientific research with some decrease in the index of demographic performance. The obtained results serve as a basis for determining the possibilities of area development and help to see the logic of advanced labor potential formation.
In the article the authors consider the foundations of the methodology related to the creation of the “urban brand,” as well as methodological approaches to solving the set of environmental problems, which play a significant role in forming an authentic image of the city and increasing attention to the urban environment on the example of a specific conglomerate, including for attracting tourist flows. The novelty of the author’s approach is evident in the integrated consideration of the issue with the inclusion of multifunctional programs and interaction of various disciplinary fields, including issues related to graphic art, urban environment improvement, history, literature, philosophy and architecture. The development of the brand of the modern city is seen by the authors in the implementation of various historical and cultural urban scenarios taking into account socio-economic indicators and the involvement of design technologies capable to create a “new face of the city» including landmark historical spaces and objects that increase the complex status of the place in the city scenario.
The history and punching evolution in architecture, design and in objects of the city environment is studied. Kinds of punching and area of its application, popularity of use of the punched sheet in modern architecture, punching and light interaction, both artificial, and natural, structure of punching and the newest technologies in the field of the punched sheet are considered. The theme of punching of surfaces is brightly presented in works of modern architects and designers, such as to architectural bureau Jakob + Macfarlane, BHSF ArchitectsClaus en Kaan Architecten, Steven Holl, Manuelle Gautrand and others.
The modern city is the city of media, various digital networks and media technologies exist in it and for a long time stopped being only instruments of advertizing and communication - today they dictate to citizens a way of life and ideas of time and space, influence city planning and architectural fashion. Media technologies used everywhere have a significant impact on the formation of urban environment identity and are seen as a base for the improvement of urban image and branding.
The article reveals the aspects of virtual architecture as a new design philosophy, operating an idea of combining of real and digital (virtual) reality and abandoning the traditional space metrics. New approaches to the organization of architectural space, as well as techniques for visual expansion and transformation of space using the latest technologies and materials are considered. The relationship between virtual and real architecture in the space of megacities is determined as well as visual illusions arising from the interaction of these relations. Diff erent manifestations in virtuality as video-mapping, media facades, etc. are analyzed.
