Este estudo avaliou a eficácia de um conjunto de procedimentos de ensino, composto por videomodelação, instrução escrita e role-play com feedback imediato, para ensinar cuidadores a manejar comportamentos inadequados emitidos por crianças com transtorno do espectro do autismo (TEA). Foi aplicado um delineamento de linha de base múltipla entre dois pares de cuidadores. A variável dependente foi a precisão de desempenho dos cuidadores no manejo de comportamentos inadequados, medida pelo percentual de passos do procedimento para manejar comportamentos inadequados executados corretamente. A variável independente foi a implementação do conjunto de procedimentos que ensinava os comportamentos necessários para manejar comportamentos inadequados. Os resultados mostram que o procedimento utilizado foi eficaz para ensinar o manejo de comportamentos inadequados para cuidadores de crianças com TEA. A eficiência do procedimento é demonstrada pelo fato de que o número de sessões necessárias para alcançar critério de aprendizagem foi pequeno, sendo, portanto, uma possibilidade viável de intervenção comportamental voltada para cuidadores de pessoas com TEA.
A ficção Walden Two (Skinner, 1948/1975) retrata uma sociedade cujas práticas sociais são baseadas em princípios científicos da Análise do Comportamento. A proposta envolve basicamente o uso de reforço positivo em contraste, com as sociedades reais, nas quais o controle aversivo seria um traço quase onipresente. Seria Walden Two de fato uma sociedade culturalmente planejada apenas em contingências de reforçamento positivo? O controle aversivo estaria ausente das relações sociais? O presente trabalho teve como objetivo geral investigar sistematicamente a presença ou não de controle aversivo no livro Walden Two. A obra foi examinada identificando-se os trechos que continham palavras-chave relacionadas ao controle aversivo. Observou-se que em três momentos específicos o controle aversivo é prescrito. Discute-se o uso inapropriado de Walden Two como um representante de uma sociedade não coercitiva assim como a necessidade de se reavaliar o papel (científico e ético) do próprio controle aversivo nas relações sociais, planejadas ou não.
B. F. Skinner (1904-1990) é frequentemente citado como representante de um posicionamento contrário ao uso de controle aversivo. Entretanto, observa-se certa divergência, na literatura comportamental, quanto à postura de Skinner a esse respeito. O presente trabalho teve como objetivo identificar e analisar em quais momentos Skinner prescreve ou adverte sobre o uso do controle aversivo. Um estudo conceitual foi realizado, no qual oito obras (Skinner 1938/1991; 1948/1975; 1953/1989; 1968/1972; 1969/1980; 1971; 1974/2006; 1989) foram analisadas conforme as categorias: 1) a definição de controle aversivo e conceitos envolvidos; 2) os aspectos negativos do controle aversivo e proibições; e 3) os aspectos positivos do controle aversivo e prescrições. Por fim, não foi possível encontrar uma definição específica de controle aversivo, e constatou-se que em determinados momentos Skinner justifica o uso deste tipo de controle, mas não o prescreve genericamente.
B. F. Skinner (1904-1990) publica em 1948 a obra Walden Two, na qual descreve uma comunidade fictícia desenvolvida a partir de princípios analítico-comportamentais supostamente sem o uso de controle aversivo. Martins et al. (2017) analisaram a referida obra e identificaram pelo menos três momentos em que há o uso de controle aversivo. Em 1979, Rubén Ardila, ao publicar Walden Tres deu continuidade e ampliou o uso dos princípios comportamentais de uma pequena comunidade para um país inteiro, em um contexto sociocultural latino-americano. O presente trabalho teve como objetivo realizar uma análise sistemática da obra Walden Tres (Ardila, 1979), a partir da sua leitura na íntegra em idioma original, investigou-se se a sociedade proposta por Ardila foi planejada com ou sem o uso de contingências aversivas. Em três momentos foi possível identificar contingências de controle aversivo em vigor: (1) na educação: desde o ambiente familiar até a inserção na sociedade; (2) sistema escolar; e (3) controle da ordem social. Discutem-se os contextos nos quais foi detectada a aplicação e/ou prescrição de controle aversivo em Walden Tres, traçando-se ao mesmo tempo paralelos com uso de controle aversivo em Walden Two e sua utilização na sociedade atual.Palavras-chave: Walden Três, controle aversivo, Ardila, planejamento cultural, Análise do Comportamento.
O Transtorno do Espectro Autista (TEA) é um transtorno do desenvolvimento que pode ocasionar déficits na área de: comunicação e interação social; e/ou a apresentação de padrões de comportamentos restritivos e estereotipados. A literatura analítico-comportamental indica escassez de estudos desenvolvidos com adolescentes e adultos diagnosticados com TEA. Assim, o presente trabalho teve como objetivo realizar uma revisão sistemática da literatura conforme as diretrizes do PRISMA, buscando identificar na produção bibliográfica da Análise do Comportamento: quais os tipos de intervenção adotados e comportamentos- alvos ensinados para essa população, bem como a efetividade das intervenções implementadas. Foram analisados 456 artigos, dos quais doze contemplaram os critérios de elegibilidade. Dentre os principais resultados obtidos, identificou-se que a maioria das intervenções teve como objetivo o ensino de habilidades sociais para adolescentes e adultos através de Treino por Tentativas Discretas (DTT) ou via Ensino Naturalístico.
