Objective: to characterize the profile of patients with systemic hypertension and Diabetes Mellitus enrolled in a Basic Health Unit of a municipality of Rio Grande do Norte. Method: this is about an exploratory-descriptive study, designed in the form of a documentary research, with the primary source of data chips from the System for Registration and Monitoring of Hypertensive Diabetics (HIPERDIA) from a primary health city of Natal, where academics have experienced practical components of undergraduate training. To perform such analysis, the sample comprised the records for the year 2008, which amounted to a quota of 129 chips. Results: during the study, considerations are made on the following thematic pillars: age, sex, race, color, education, marital status / marital, blood pressure, waist circumference; value of Body Mass Index (BMI), risk factors and diseases concomitant, presence of complications, treatment of diseases in question, besides the presence of relevant association hypertension + diabetes mellitus. Conclusion: reaffirmed the epidemiological importance of Hypertension and Diabetes Mellitus and the essential activities in a HIPERDIA regarding the reduction of complications and mortality rates generated by them. Método: trata-se de um estudo exploratório-descritivo, delineado sob a forma de uma pesquisa documental, tendo como fonte primária dos dados as fichas do Sistema de Cadastro e Acompanhamento de Hipertensos e Diabéticos (HIPERDIA) de uma unidade básica de saúde do município de Natal/RN. A amostragem englobou as fichas referentes ao ano de 2008, o que totalizou um contingente de 129 fichas. A análise foi realizada nos meses de janeiro e fevereiro de 2009, utilizando o Microsoft Office Excel 2007 para a tabulação dos dados. Resultados: a análise quantitativa dos dados possibilitou traçar um perfil epidemiológico englobando: idade; sexo; raça-cor; escolaridade; situação familiar/conjugal; níveis pressóricos; medida da cintura; valor do Índice de Massa Corpórea (IMC); fatores de risco e doenças concomitantes; presença de complicações; tratamento das patologias em questão; além da presença da relevante associação hipertensão arterial + diabetes mellitus. Conclusão: reafirmou-se a importância epidemiológica da Hipertensão Arterial Sistêmica e do Diabetes Mellitus e a essencialidade das atividades desenvolvidas pelo HIPERDIA no tocante à redução das complicações e dos índices de mortalidade. Método: se trata de un estudio exploratorio-descriptivo, diseñado en forma de una investigación documental, con la principal fuente de chips de datos del Sistema de Registro y Seguimiento de los hipertensos diabéticos (HIPERDIA) de una primaria de la salud la ciudad de Natal, donde los académicos han experimentado los componentes prácticos de la formación de pregrado. Para realizar dicho análisis, la muestra está compuesta por los registros para el año 2008, que ascendieron a un contingente de 129 fichas. Resultados: durante el estudio, se hacen consideraciones sobre los ejes temáticos: edad, sexo, raza, color, educación, estado civil o conyugal, la presión arterial, circunferencia de la cintura; valor de Índice de Masa Corporal (IMC), factores de riesgo y enfermedades presencia concomitante de complicaciones, el tratamiento de las enfermedades en cuestión, además de la presencia de relevantes asociación diabetes mellitus + hipertensión. Conclusión: reafirmó la importancia epidemiológica de la hipertensión y diabetes mellitus y las actividades esenciales en un HIPERDIA respecto a la reducción de complicaciones y mortalidad que generan. Objetivo: Descrever um relato de práticas lúdicas de educação em saúde do Projeto de Extensão “Enfermeiros Luminescentes” do Curso de Enfermagem da FACEX. Métodos: Trata-se de um relato de experiência das práticas de educação em saúde fomentadas por discentes e docentes do Projeto de Extensão “Enfermeiros Luminescentes”, o qual consiste em um estudo do tipo pesquisa-ação, na modalidade de intervenção coletiva. Resultados: Para a descrição sistemática das práticas desenvolvidas pelos “Enfermeiros Luminescentes”, os resultados estão organizados em três pilares: 1) educando por meio do teatro; 2) educando por meio de contos encantados; e 3) educando em consultas de Crescimento e Desenvolvimento (CD) humanescentes. Conclusão: As atividades lúdicas devem continuar auxiliando a enfermagem na perpetuação de novas ideias e assistência inovadora, (re)direcionando os profissionais a um novo olhar para os sujeitos, entendendo-os e resgatando a luminescência e a humanescência.
