A method based on the mixed potential theory is put forward to determine the polarization state of the metal with the middle potential in tri‐metals galvanic couple. The potential distribution and current density distribution of the complicated galvanic couple composed of AA5083, 20# steel, and H62 copper alloy were simulated by finite element method, and the effect of configuration position on the complicated galvanic corrosion behavior was studied, which was verified by the galvanic current measurement. The results of experiment and numerical simulation match well, indicating that the method to determine the polarization state of the metal with the middle potential is reliable, which provides the reference to modeling multi‐metals complicated galvanic corrosion.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
