Resumo:O objetivo foi avaliar o desempenho produtivo e características de carcaça de novilhas Nelore com suplementação mineral associado ao quelato de cromo e imunocastradas com vacina BOPRIVA® Pfizer. O trabalho foi conduzido na fazenda Caiabi no município de Alta Floresta-MT, sendo utilizadas 60 novilhas Nelore com 18 meses de idade e peso vivo médio de 324kg. Os animais foram divididos em quatro grupos experimentais sendo: Tratamento 1(T1) foram utilizados 15 novilhas Nelore imunocastradas utilizando BOPRIVA®. Tratamento 2(T2) 15 novilhas Nelore controle. Tratamento 3 (T3) 15 novilhas Nelore suplementadas com quelato de cromo e tratamento4(T4) 15 novilhas Nelore suplementadas sem quelato de cromo. As novilhas foram mantidas em pastejo contínuo por 120 dias e pesadas a cada 28 dias para monitoração do peso diário. Os resultados observados para aqueles animais que receberam cromo na dieta foi diferente apenas para a conformação de carcaça, sendo que os animais que receberam o quelato de cromo obtiveram uma conformação maior do que aqueles que não receberam cromo, 4,11 e 3,44 respectivamente. Quanto a imunocastração, os animais que foram submetidos a vacina tiveram menor peso ao abate com 361,50kg e menor peso de carcaça quente com 180,83kg, quando comparados com os não vacinados que obtiveram um peso vivo de 378,06kg e peso de carcaça quente de 190,71kg. O cromo interferiu na qualidade da carcaça enquanto que a imunocastração não demonstrou diferenças estatísticas para produção e qualidade de carcaça.
