Thermolysis of K2(Pt(NO2)4) at 325 °C followed by aqueous work‐up affords the intermediary compound K5(Pt4O3(NO2)9)·3 H2O. An X‐ray analysis of a single crystal reveals that this compound belongs to the space group P1 with Z=2.
