ChemInform Abstract A new macrocyclic ligand, containing a carefully selected pendant group and the title Co(III) complex (VIII) of it are prepared. The complex crystallizes in Pbcn with Z = 8 and reveals a novel dinuclear structure in which the dangling carboxyl groups link the two metal ions. This is consistent with the molecular design since the pendant group was selected to prevent chelation of the carboxyl group to the same metal ion as the parent macrocycle.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
