A refined procedure for the synthesis of '•""Pt-labeled cis-DDP is presented. Staiting with a neutron-irradiated Pt metal target, the scheme facilitates the synthesis of a pure product ( > 99%) in reproducibly high yields (70 -75%) and at a reaction scale as low as 50 Mmole. The reaction scheme has been optimized through systematic study of reaction variables and is directly applicable to the synthesis of analogs of m-DDP, i.e., neutral complexes of the type, c«-[Pt(amine)2Xj ]. A detailed procedure is presented to allow duplication of this synthesis in other laboratories. Critical steps and key features of the method are discussed and suggestions for further refmements are given.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
