Arthur, ancien prématuré de 27 semaines d’aménorrhées, est âgé de deux ans et demi lorsqu’il nous est adressé par son pédiatre néonatologue pour l’évaluation et la prise en charge de signes d’autisme infantile déjà bien installés. Les premières rencontres avec cet enfant permettent aussi d’évaluer la situation de précarité et d’isolement de la famille, les grandes fragilités parentales. L’histoire d’Arthur illustre bien la nécessaire collaboration multidisciplinaire qu’impose le suivi de ces enfants prématurés. L’application du protocole préaut à la cohorte des enfants prématurés par le service de néonatologie de l’hôpital d’Aulnay a renforcé la sensibilisation des équipes à l’observation des capacités relationnelles du bébé. Pédiatres et pédopsychiatres se sont dotés d’espace et de temps pour se rencontrer, échanger, croiser leurs différents regards. La confrontation de ces regards permet un repérage et une orientation précoce de ces «?bébés à risque?», elle ouvre des perspectives diversifiées dans l’accompagnement des familles et la thérapie de l’enfant.
