A part of community in Waru Subdistrict cultivate oil palm. This study aimed to determine the costs of production, revenue, income, and revenue/cost ratio of oil palm farming. The research was conducted from June to August 2018 in Waru Subdistrict, Penajam Paser Utara District. The sampling method was purposive sampling. This research collected primary and secondary data. Data analysis were done to calculte the production costs, revenue, income, and R/C ratio. The results of research showed the average of production costs of oil palm farming was as much as IDR5,449,786.00 year-1 ha-1. The average of revenue of oil palm farming was as much as IDR25,332,427.00 year-1 ha-1. The average of income of oil palm farming was as much as IDR19,882,641.92 year-1 ha-1. The oil palm farming in Waru Subdistrict is economically profitable based on the value of R/C ratio as many as 4,44 or greater than 1. This meant that for every cost additional of IDR1,000.00 by farmer will generate the income additional of Rp4,440.00.
The agricultural program given to sustainable farmer women's groups is a form of empowering women in the Sukorejo Lempake environment, this empowerment obliges participation, creativity, and initiative at activities carried out by sustainable farmer women's groups and is expected to have a better influence. The purpose of this research was to know the form of empowerment, the level of participation, and the influence obtained by sustainable farmer women's groups.This research was to be conducted from July to September 2020. The location of research has been determined purposive, namely in the environment of Sukorejo, Lempake Village, North Samarinda District, Samarinda City. The sampling method used was purposive sampling and was carried out by means of a census. The respondents in this research amount to 20 people, the method of analysis used is a descriptive qualitative method and the descriptive method uses a Likert scale.The results of this research showed that the program empowerment is given to sustainable farmer women's groups, namely training programs and processing practices in horticultural product agricultural, farm extension programs, entrepreneurship training, and participation in processed product exhibitions.The rate participation members of the Lestari farmer women's group the indicator of routine monthly meetings included high category with an average score of 10.78, the meetings indicator/extension agricultural were in the high category with an average score of 13.10, and the indicators training program were in the high category with an average score of 15.73. Overall with an average score of 39.61, it was in the high category.The influence on the sustainable farming women’s group in implementing agricultural extension program provided includes to income of the women farmer group, the role in the women’s farmer group, participation in the women’s farmer group, the knowledge and insight before and after joining the Lestari farmer women’s group was able to give a more good impact.The conclusions of this research showed that the participation of the sustainable farmer women’s group with an average score of 39.61 was in the high category and the influence obtained by the Lestari farmer women's group on the extension program seen from before and after joining with a sustainable farmer women’s group was able to have an influence towards better.
The development of corn production is an aspect in agricultural development. The research was done to know potency and prospect of corn production in Samarinda City. The research was conducted from October to December 2017. This research used time series data during 9 years from 2006 to 2014 by using simple linear regression to know potency and prospek of corn production in future. The result of research shows corn production in Samarinda City in 2006-2014 decreased. Corn production in Samarinda City is less developed, futhermore the corn farming should be managed by intensification program.
Paddy is a food crop that is widely cultivated by farmers as farmers group members in Sari Nadi Village. This study aimed to determine the role of farmer group in improving the socio-economic status of lowland rice farmer before and after becoming member of farmers group. This research was conducted from March to August 2020 in Sari Nadi Village, Kota Bangun Regency, Kutai Kartanegara Regency. Determination of the sample number used the proportional sampling method. The data were analyzed by using descriptive method. Farmers group plays a role in improving the socio-economic status of lowland rice farmer with a total score of 1,283 and an average of 33.76. The socio-economic status of farmer before becoming member of a farmers group was low and increase become high after becoming a member of a farmers group.
Income level influences on economic prosperity of farmer. The purpose of this research was to know prosperity level of farmer income based on income of papaya california farming in Muang Dalam, Lempake Urban Village, North Samarinda Subcity. The research was done from June to December 2017. The sampling method were census method. Data collection was done through survey or observation and interviews. Data was analyzed to know total cost, revenue, and income. Income was divided by the number of family members to know income per year, then it was compared with City Minimum Salary (CMS) as a prosperity index. The results of research show that farmer income from california papaya farming as much as IDR8,647,495.92 month-1 respondent-1 for an average planting area of 0.92 ha. CMS in Samarinda City the year 2017 as much as IDR2,442,180.62 month-1. The average of farmer income from papaya california farming IDR2,189,034.33 capita-1 month-1. If it was compared with the data of Statistics of East Kalimantan the year 2016 as much as IDR510,041.00 month-1 for rural area, the prosperity level of california papaya farmer is at a level of wealth or above the poverty line.
