The old clock was slowly counting hours and minutes. In spite of the fact that the morning rays tickled his nose and prevented him from concentrating, the shaggy boy about 9 years old was drawing something on an unevenly torn off sheet of paper, then was crossing it out, then was writing again. Giving birth to the word, thoughts mixed with feelings fluttered in his shaggy head. This made him to reach for the pen and write again. Victories and failures, joys and sorrows, unknown depths of existence, a magical kaleidoscope of nature and, first of all, love - all this excited and inspired, added up in a moment and settled in verse lines, sealing up in the word. The pointers of a clock ran forward and counted the years. Uneven sheets of paper were folded into books», – said Yaroslav Skidan about his becoming.

The publicity dominance is the characteristic of memoirs “Force of Circumstance” by Simone de Beauvoir. The idea of S. de Beauvoir influences the genre transformation. The scientific problem is to clarify the specifics of a genre. The aim of the article is to highlight the features of the genres in the novels, diaries, memoirs, interludes, tragedies, comedies as genre memoirs, to understand better the ideas of the writer. The methodology is represented by a biographical method in the study. The most important findings are as follows. The result is to interpret systematic, structured, orderly procedural writing activities. The attention is drawn to the writing process. Writing is a passion, mania, which is causing an addiction. The meaning of creativity is the knowledge of people, culture, history, progress. Genre transformations are the basis for explaining the problem in the work: the artist's activity and her place in the history. The existential fear of death is a central part of literary existentialism. The writer embodied the death fear in her own works.
Self-determination of a woman is important for her self-realization at the beginning of the XXI century. A modern woman successfully combines two careers. She presents herself as a specialist and wife / mother. French writer S de Beauvoir drew attention to this in her novel "Magic Pictures" in 1966. Her heroines make it possible to understand the psychological problems of women. The classification of archetypes of goddesses in accordance with the stereotypes of modern women was applied. This concept logically complements feminist criticism and helps to investigate the way the archetypes of the goddesses are manifested in the images, respectively, "feminine", "feminist" and "female" concepts. This will contribute to the clarification of the parable in the works of S. de Beauvoir. S. de Beauvoir uses psychoanalytic approaches to distinguish conscious and unconscious in heroines of literary works, and great attention is paid to unconscious motives and feelings. The writer distinguishes psychoanalytic symptoms, conditions of women to display their personal "psychodrama", which is reflected in literary conflicts. S. de Beauvoir interprets conflicts as external and internal. During the analyses of the writer’s works we also differentiate the conscious and unconscious in her heroines, observe conflicts between men and women, between generations, between the desires of one person, in order to understand better the "mental" state, which promotes character’s development as an existant. The writer made an extremely important artistic and aesthetic contribution into the creation of "feminine" artistic images, which reveals the archetype of Aphrodite, that through the issue of choice introduces the idea of the importance of "love", deprives of feelings and the status of the "Оther" as an inferiority complex, reaching the level of self-realization of an existant.S. de Beauvoir explores the phenomenon of literary existentialism as a problem of choice which a character has to face and contributes to its evolution. S. de Beauvoir’s creation of influential characters, according to "feminine" concept, achieves the highest resonance in the mid ХХ century and extends to the beginning of ХХ–XXI century.
In Ukrainian literary studies, the idea was formed that «Western» literaturethe second half of the 20th century inherent aesthetics of postmodernism. However, the question arises: is this process homogeneous? Branching aesthetics of literary works 2 half of the 20th century is a scientific problem that needs to be understood. This is important because it requires a theoretical basis for the study of individual personalities / writers whose individual style have common points of intersection with general world artistic landmarks. The purpose of the article is to try to form a «system» of directions and currents of the the second half of the 20th century. This is the first approximation to a scientific problem. We used comparative-historical and typological methods, a systematic approach to achieve the purpose. In the postmodern era – the second half of the 20th century, the feeling of unconscious fear of the individual before the development of scientific technologies, before the nuclear threat is reflected. The trends of the «working novel», the current of «neorealism», the current of «new wave», the group of «minimalism» were formed in the literature of the the second half of the 20th century, they are not included in the discourse of postmodernism and post-avant-garde, because in these works there is a realistic chronotope. Here a new type of hero is formed and the moral and ethical problems of the «average» ordinary person, which does not succeed, are raised. The consciousness of the characters disintegrates, they are unable to comprehend either their ideas or the statements of others. They have no strength and energy at all. Boredom sometimes pushes them to action, which reflects the trends of the time. Intellectuals are presented as psychologically dead people who are incapable of anything, empty, doomed. The individualism of the hero raises the problem of isolation and disunity of people in a narrow domestic and broad historical context. The social problems of the «workers' novel», the «new wave», minimalism and neorealism contributed to the introduction and use of the border 20th-21th centuries by writers the realistic chronotope in the trend of «critical fiction»
