The modern paradigm of higher education prioritizes the expansion of a young specialist competence in the profession and a high level of outlook, culture, health, and personal qualities. The content of educational disciplines and physical training, in particular, should correspond to these goals. The problem is that not every physical training lesson at the universities is built, taking into account the future professional activity of a geologist, although the physical culture potential if it is properly organized, is high enough to develop many professional qualities of a future specialist. The work updates the continuous integrated approach to the development of the students’ professional qualities through physical culture both during the classes and in independent work. The authors carried out the survey of students-geologists of the Tyumen Industrial University, which determined the level of physical activity of students (medium), their attitude to their health (most assess it to be good), and the degree of identification of physical education lessons with the acquisition of professionally significant qualities (medium). The paper proposes the options of exercises to develop each quality in the process of physical, intellectual, psychic, and mental activity for the comprehensive self-improvement of students during independent work. In the authors’ opinion, such an approach will increase the goal-setting of students, the desire both to develop professionally in special subjects and recognize the interdisciplinary relations of all elements of the learning environment for their professional growth.
The article proposes the author's version of the in-depth work with the folk original source, which contributes to the formation of cultural values of students in the course of the Arrangement course of the teaching course Academic Choir at the Tyumen State Institute of Culture. A distinctive feature of the course is the regional component – Russian folk songs of the Tyumen region and the region are used as musical material for student work. As part of the study, we identified the following contradictions: – between the prescription of the State educational standards on interdisciplinary disciplines, the student's ability to navigate in the diversity of culture and the competences offered by the curriculum for the discipline “Arrangement”, which are focused on creating a new creative product; – between the student’s constant need for creative self-realization and the insufficiently high level of his creative skills; – between installations of legislation in the field of education for the education of the individual with a high level of education, morality, and value installations that are incorrectly laid down by the mass culture. Therefore, we position the processing of a folk song not as an end in itself, but as a means of personal involvement of the student in the culture of his people, the transmission of sociocultural experience between generations. The goal of the “Arrangement” course is to create a value attitude of students to Russian culture in the process of creative work with a folk original source (Russian folk song) by expanding the course’s objectives to interdisciplinary and research (problem-searching, creative, heuristic, etc.), activating cognitive and creative activity of students. Formation of students' value attitude to the Russian folk musical culture in the process of creative work with a folk song, we propose to carry out at the following stages: search, motivational-incentive, research, analytical, creative, performing. Through contact with the sample of Russian song and its transformation, a student's interest in his origins, his pedigree, and cultural norms in the way of life and art is awakened. The effectiveness of the formation of cultural values of students through the Russian folk song is determined under the condition of positive motivation and initiative of students to learn cultural values, subject-subject interaction between the teacher and the student, enhancing independent cognitive activity, introducing the student to artistic creativity, creating conditions for self-discovery.
The paper examines the genesis and causes of bad habits spread among students (external and internal), provides a review of the scientific literature on the research topic. Medicine has proved that bad habits as a risk factor for various infectious diseases and deterioration of all body systems functionality result in reducing the quality and duration of human life. Scientists agree that in order to solve the problem of adopting bad habits by young people there should be an integrated approach combining the regularity of preventive measures and the united intention of all participants in the educational process. The aim of the study is to develop a prevention model based on the study of the structure and genesis of bad habits in the student environment. To determine the state of the problem, the authors conducted a study among 3 and 4-year students of the technical university (55 people aged 18-25 years), identifying the most common harmful addictions during training and their prerequisites according to the students opinion. The most common habit is smoking, followed by poor nutrition, lack of sleep and alcohol. Moreover, many habits were acquired in adolescence and college period. Most students are neutral about other peoples having such habits. Based on the results obtained, possible solutions of the problem are presented in the context of self-preserving behavior of students, actualizing the possible potential ofa positive influence of the university environment on increasing personal awareness through the education of its qualities and a positive example of the environment.
