ClioTa 2 , monoclinic, C12/ml (N0. 12), a= 18. Source of material0.11 g of Та powder and 1 ml of S2CI2 were frozen at 77 К in a glass ampoule which then was evacuated and sealed. The ampoule was heated at a rate of 0.5 K/min up to 475 К and left at that temperature for 14 days. Upon cooling at 0.1 K/min (TaCb)2 and sulfur crystallized.
Titanyl-5 DMSO-Dichloride. Tetratitaniumhexoxo-12 DMSO-Tetrachloride, Crystal Structure While TiCl4 and Na2S4 react in in the presence of PPh4Cl in dichloromethane to yield (PPh4)2[TiSCl4]-2CH2Cl2, we obtained fTi40 6(0SMe2)i2]Cl4-5Me2S 0T /2H 20 (1) from the same reactants in dimethylsulfoxide. Compound 1 is only stable in the presence of dimethylsulfoxide. The crystal structure determination at 153 K shows the presence of cations having an adamantane-like Ti40 64+ skeleton with three Me2SO molecules coordinated to each Ti atom via their O atoms. Crystal data: monoclinic, P 2,/«, Z = 4, a = 1096.9, b = 3097, c = 2342.7 pm, ß = 93.90° (at -120 °C; R = 0.087 % for 4098 reflections). In an attempt to produce the same compound only from TiCl4 and Me2SO, [TiO(OSMe2)5]Cl2 was obtained. Its cation has a rather short Ti=0 bond (164.8 pm) and a distorted octahedral coordination of the titanium atom. The crystals are triclinic, P I, Z = 2, R = 0.050 for 2063 reflections measured at 153 K. Einlegung / Titanlyverbindungen, in denen Ti=0-Doppelbindungen Vorkommen, sind bekannt, jedoch nur in kleiner Zahl (siehe Auflistung bei [1]).
The Crystal Structure of SCl3[Re2Cl9] and its Relation to the RuBr3 Type SCl3[Re2Cl9] was obtained from the reaction of rhenium and SCl2 at 400 °C. The X‐ray crystal structure determination revealed a monoclinic structure, a = 834.1 pm, b = 1053.3 pm, c = 866.1 pm, β = 91.90°, space group P21/m, R1 = 0.058. The SCl3+ and Re2Cl9– ions have the known structures; the ReRe bond length in the face‐sharing bioctahedron is 272.2 pm. The crystal packing can be derived from the RuBr3 structure type, which has infinite columns of face‐sharing octahedra; one quarter of the metal atoms are removed and another quarter are replaced by sulfur atoms. The chlorine atoms form a slightly distorted hexagonal closest‐packing. The symmetry relationships are shown in a family tree of group–subgroup relations.
