During the prevention of the spread of the virus the COVID-19 pandemic, change took place suddenly of learning. Distance learning is a good substitute when physical or face-to-face programmes or courses are no longer feasible. The purpose of this study was to reveal the implementation of distance learning which was carried out suddenly as a result of Covid-19 which was assessed by the learning process, learning facilities and infrastructure, as well as the psychological aspects of FKIP students towards distance learning. Data were collected through a survey using the google form application and respondents were N = 750. Data analysis used a descriptive statistical approach. The instrument is a questionnaire electronic, anonymous, and self-administered using three to five answer options. the results of the research students prefer face-to-face learning rather than distance learning. Students find it difficult during distance learning and worry about achieving learning outcomes. In conclusion, distance learning is a worthy substitute when classroom education is deferred during the COVID-19 pandemic period. It is also significant to recognize that, distance learning cannot substitute the requirement for on-site or on campus and face-to-face learning, but can supplement existing general classroom-based learning models. Distance learning has an impact on changes in individual learning readiness and the preparation of institutional facilities to blanded learning

During 2016–2018, we conducted surveillance for Japanese encephalitis virus (JEV) in mosquitoes and pigs in Japan, Thailand, the Philippines, and Indonesia. Phylogenetic analyses demonstrated that our isolates (genotypes Ia, Ib, III, IV) were related to JEV isolates obtained from the same regions many years ago. Indigenous JEV strains persist in Asia.
In 2014, an outbreak of Getah virus (GETV) infection occurred in Japan in a horse population that was inoculated with a vaccine against GETV. In this study, we investigated the seroprevalence of GETV infection among wild boars in Japan. Interestingly, the highest rate of anti-GETV-positive wild boars was observed in 2013, which gradually decreased during 2014-2016. The results suggested that GETV spread among wild boars around 2012, resulting in the 2014 outbreak.
Tourism is currently one of the mainstay sectors in increasing income in virtually all countries in the world. In the past decade, the tourism sector has contributed significantly to the income of countries in the Southeast Asia region. The growth of the tourism sector reached 8.3%, well above global growth of only 3.6%. Indonesia is one country with vast tourism potential. However, it is feared that the massive growth and potential will have an impact on the degradation of environmental quality, especially marine, which constitutes two-thirds of Indonesia's total area. This study aims to explore the profile of ecology and marine based tourism in Central Java Province, to analyze the supporting factors priority in the development of natural and marine tourism based on community empowerment, and to analyze stakeholders' participation in tourism development. The research used sequential mix method with Geographic Information System, ATLAS.ti, and stakeholder analysis with MACTOR as analysis tools. This study found that environmental and marine tourism development requires infrastructure and facilities, institutional preparation, and community empowerment. Ecomarine tourism development requires the involvement of various parties including regulators, executors, supporting institutions, targets, and the community as the main actor. The development model of ecomarine tourism is based on the concept of who does what, where the people gains empowerment support through community capacity building, transformation of work from fishermen/farmers to tourism business operators, local assistance, and the opening of tourism networks.
Ticks are one of the arthropods that play an important role in the transmission of numerous pathogens to livestock and humans. We investigated the presence of tick‐borne bacteria in 23 Amblyomma varanense that fed on a water monitor (Varanus salvator) in Indonesia. Anaplasmataceae and borreliae were detected by PCR in 17.4% and 95.7% of ticks, respectively. “Candidatus Rickettsia sepangensis”, spotted fever group of Rickettsia, was detected in 21.7% of ticks. The water monitor is a common reptile that is widely encountered in city areas in Asian countries. Our results suggested that Am. varanense on water monitor in Indonesia harbored several kinds of bacteria.
In this paper a boundary element formulation for analysis of shear deformable plates with combined geometric and material nonlinearities by boundary element method is presented. The dual reciprocity method is used in dealing with the geometric nonlinearity and domain discretization is implemented in dealing with material nonlinearity. The material is assumed to undergo large deflection with small strains. The von Mises criteria is used to evaluate the plastic zone and an elastic perfectly plastic material behaviour is assumed. An initial stress formulation is used to formulate the boundary integral equations. A total incremental method is applied to solve the nonlinear boundary integral equations. Numerical examples are presented to demonstrate the validity and the accuracy of the proposed method.
Pengamatan pasut dilakukan untuk menentukan nilai komponen pasut yang nantinya dapat digunakan untuk keperluan kerekayasaan dan pemetaaan. Metode least squares dapat digunakan untuk menentukan komponen-komponen pasut selain metode Admiralty.
Metode penentuan komponen pasut dan prediksinya yang umum menggunakan beberapa metode, yaitu metode Admiralty, metode semi grafik, metode least squares dan lainnya. Metode yang umum digunakan adalah metode Admiralty, sedangkan metode lain jarang digunakan. Dengan berkembangnya teknologi komputer, maka berkembang pula metode alternatif lain. Salah satunya adalah metode least squares yang menggunakan bahasa program Matlab untuk eksekusinya.
Perhitungan menggunakan metode least squaresmenghasilkan nilai komponen amplitude yang mendekati nilai komponen hasil perhitungan metode Admiralty tetapi berbeda pada nilai fase. Metode least squares memberikan akurasi yang cukup baik pada hasil prediksi dan dengan komponen yang lebih banyak.
