Science process skills are skills that need to be developed in students in learning science such as science. The low level of KPS on the science concept is influenced by the learning model which emphasizes the aspects of receiving full information from the teacher. Student KPS is also dominated by an increase in scientific attitudes that require students to show their sensitivity to the surrounding environment. This study aims to determine science process skills and increase students' scientific attitudes through the implementation of the contextual teaching and learning model at MTsS Muta'allimin Aceh Besar. The method used in this study was an experiment with a one-group pretest-posttest design. The instruments used were observation sheets and questionnaires. The results showed that the implementation of the CTL learning model could improve students' KPS in both categories with an average score of 71-85 and very good categories with an average score of 86. In addition to improving the KPS learning model implementation, CTL can also improve students' scientific attitudes with a value N-gain average of 0.63 including the moderate category. The results of the improvement obtained by the average student are in good categories with an average score of 71-85 then the category is very good with an average score. 86-100. The conclusion in this study proves that the CTL model can improve student learning skills and scientific attitudes, especially the material of vibration, waves, and sound
The lack of active involvement of students in learning is caused by the lack of students' skills in critical thinking, for example, by asking questions, expressing opinions, and solving problems so that students only memorize existing concepts, theories, and formulas without wanting to dig further to be understood in depth. This study aims to determine the increase in independence and critical thinking skills on momentum and impulse material at SMAN 9 Banda Aceh. The method in this study was quasi-experimental, then the instruments used were questionnaire sheets, observation sheets, and questions. The results of the study indicate that the application of the Self Direct Learning learning model can increase student learning independence. The results of the t-test analysis (independent sample t-test) obtained a significance value of 0.000 <0.05, meaning that there is a significant difference in the average learning independence of students in the experimental class and the control class. The application of the self-directed learning model can improve students' critical thinking skills. The results of the analysis of students' Critical Thinking Skills obtained a significance value of 0.000 <0.05, meaning that there was a significant average difference between students' critical thinking skills in the experimental class and the control class. The conclusion in this study proves that the Self Direct Learning model can increase students' learning independence and Critical Thinking Skills on momentum and impulse materials
Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui peningkatan pemahaman konsep dan peningkatan keterampilan proses sains siswa pada materi keanekaragaman hayati dan upaya pelestariannya melalui metode karyawisata. Penelitian ini dilakukan di MTsN Model Banda Aceh. Metode penelitian adalah metode eksperimen. Sampel pada penelitian ini sebanyak 2 kelas yang ditentukan secara random terdiri dari kelas eksperimen menggunakan metode karyawisata dan kelas kontrol dengan metode ekspositori. Teknik analisis data dilakukan dengan uji-z dengan bantuan program SPSS 16.0 for window. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan: (1) terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara penerapan metode karyawisata dengan metode ekspositori terhadap peningkatan pemahaman konsep siswa; (2) terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara penerapan metode karyawisata dengan metode ekspositori terhadap peningkatan keterampilan proses sains siswa. Kata Kunci: Metode Karyawisata, Pemahaman Konsep, Keterampilan Proses Sains dan Keanekaragaman Hayati The purposes of this study were to know the improvement of students’ concept understanding and science processing skill in biodiversity material and its preservation effort through field trip method. The study was conducted in MTsN Model Banda Aceh. The method used was experimental research. The sample of this study was two classes which was determined by cluster random sampling that consisted of experimental class that used field trip method and control class that used expository method. The data then analyzedby using z- test with SPSS 16,0 for windows. The results showed that: (1) There was significant difference between using field trip method and expository method toward the improvement of students’ concept understanding. (2) There was significant difference between the aplication of field trip method and expository method in improving students’ science processing skill. Students' motivation to learn is the main aspect to achieve student success. Based on the results of observation and interview, the learning motivation of students in SMA Negeri 2 Kutacane is still relatively less, so the impact on the low cognitive ability of the students. The purpose of this study is to see the influence of the approach blended learning type station rotation on differences in motivation and cognitive abilities after the study. This research use approach uses quasi-experiments design pretest-posttest control group design. The population of this research is all students of class XI, the sample taken is of class XI IPA 2 as the experimental class and XI IPA 3 as the control class. Using a data collection instrument sheet, questionnaires, and interviews to measure the motivation to learn and use the instrument on a test to measure the cognitive abilities of the students. The results of data analysis using t-test (independent sample t-test) show the differences in motivation and cognitive abilities of students with a significance of 0.000 < 0.05 means there is a significant difference between the motivation and ability of cognitive control and experimental classes. Therefore, it can be concluded that there is an influence of the use of the approach blended learning type station rotation motivation and cognitive abilities of the students.
Kurangnya berpikir kritis peserta didik dalam mempelajari ilmu fisika, hal ini dapat dilihat dari nilai keseharian mereka dengan rata-rata fisika sekitar 65.00 lebih rendah dibandingkan dengan pelajaran lain. Tujuan masalah penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui adanya pengaruh model pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing dengan konstruktivisme radikal terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik. Jenis penelitian ini adalah menggunakan eksperimen semu (quasi eksperimental research) Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh peserta didik kelas VII MTsS Darul Ulum Banda Aceh, sedangkan sampelnya diambil dua kelas secara purposive sampling yaitu kelas VII kelas Eksperimen (VII-1) yang terdiri atas 30 peserta didik, sedangkan kelas kontrol (VII-3) yang terdiri atas 30 orang peserta didik. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah tes tertulis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata pretest untuk kelas kontrol adalah 22,36, sedangkan rata-rata untuk kelas eksperimen adalah 32,16. Perolehan tersebut menunjukkan rata-rata pretest baik kelas kontrol maupun kelas eksperimen masih dalam kategori rendah. Dan rata-rata posttest untuk kelas kontrol adalah 47,60, untuk kelas eksperimen 64,25. Hal ini menunjukkan adanya peningkatan berpikir kritis pada kelas kontrol melalui model pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing tetapi masih dalam kategori rendah yaitu 0,26, sedangkan pada kelas eksperimen menunjukkan peningkatan berpikir kritis melalui model pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing dengan konstruktivisme radikal sebesar 0,50 dengan kategori sedang. Kesimpulan dalam penelitian ini membuktikan bahwa model pembelajaran inkuiri dengan konstruktivisme radikal dapat mempengaruhi terhadap berpikir kritis peserta didik.
