AbstractWe present a formal framework of human reliability analysis (HRA) to quantify human errors for railway domain. The safety critical human functions and their contextual factors are identified from domain specific human factors studies and studies on safety critical PSFs. We use Belief functions theory and Valuation based systems for a probabilistic framework of quantification. A formal relation between those functions and the context are modeled using data from expert elicitation. The proposed approach uses expert elicited data to build the human error-causation elements. Appropriate representation and handling of all types of uncertainties is considered through the proposed quantification methodology.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
