Introducción: La ictiosis afecta principalmente la piel, posee varios tipos dependiendo el patrón de herencia. Dentro de las dominantes encontramos a la ictiosis vulgar, y en las recesivas la Ictiosis laminar, Eritroderma ictiosiforme, arlequín.La ictiosis laminar es una genodermatitis congénita que según datos estadísticos internacionales reporta 1:200 000-300 000 recién nacidos, en las bases de datos consultadas en Honduras, no se hallo incidencia ni prevalencia de esta enfermedad.Materiales y métodos: Se analizó el árbol genealógico de 6 pacientes más la valoración de las manifestaciones clínicas propias de cada individuo para determinar el patrón de herencia especifico y así identificar el tipo de ictiosis.Resultado: El análisis mostró un patrón de herencia autosómico recesivo, consanguinidad en padres de los pacientes.Conclusiones: La realización de un pedigrí es esencial en conjunto con la exploración clínica para el diagnóstico de ictiosis, en ausencia de pruebas genéticas e histopatológicas.
La ictiosis es una genodermatitis que tiene como característica principal la hiperqueratinización de la piel, tiene una prevalencia de 1:200 000-300 000 RN en los Estados Unidos 1. Los diferentes tipos de ictiosis son: la ictiosis laminar, arlequín, eritroderma ictiosiforme congénita bullosa y no bullosa. Todas con un patrón de herencia autosómico recesivo, siendo la ictiosis laminar el más frecuente de esta patología 2. Los pacientes que padecen ictiosis laminar, presentan en el momento del parto una membrana traslucida y brillante, membrana colodión (ver Fig. 2). Durante el crecimiento del individuo se desarrollan otras características clínicas como: Placas queratinicas generalizadas, ectropión bilateral, xeroderma (piel s. eca), hiperqueratosis palmo-plantar (exceso de queratina) e hipohidrosis (Incapacidad de producción del sudor). Características variantes según el tratamiento del paciente 3. En la ictiosis laminar es fundamental la presencia de ciertos factores genéticos como endogamia y consanguinidad, que apoyen el tipo de patrón de herencia previamente confirmado en el análisis de un árbol genealógico.
