Diese bildet sich aufgrund der ungewohnlichen Verzahnung der langen Alkylketten. Die Bildung dieser Mesophase resultiert aus einem KompromiB zwischen aromatischen E-Wechselwirkungen, hydrophoben Wechselwirkungen der Alkylketten und durch Wasserstoffbruckenbindungen vermittelten Krdften zwischen den Anionen und C-H-Wasserstoffatomen. Momentan beschaftigen wir uns damit, Derivate von bimy-und imy-Salzen unter anderem rnit chiralen Anionen oder N-AIkylketteneinzufuhren, um so ferroelektrische Systeme zu erzeugen Experimen telles 1 (n = 16) . H,O: Einer Losung von [(C,,H,,),-bim]Br (0.44 g, 0.68 mmol) in CH,CI, (30 mL) wurde zunichst Au(SMe,)CI (0.10 g, 0.34 mmol), dann Cetyltrimethylammoniumhromid (0.02 mmol) und schlienlich w2Rrige NaOH (0.25 N, 4 mL) hinzugefiigt. Nach 5 h Ruhren wurde die CH,CI,-Losung vom Wasser ahgetrennt und zu einer Losung van LiBr (0.12 g, 0.68 mmol) in Ethanol (95O/, 10 mL) gegeben. Die vereinigten Losungen wurden weitere 30 min geruhrt und das Losungsmittelgemisch dann an einem Rotationsverdampfer entfernt. Der weiBe Festkorper wurde mehrmals rnit Wasser gewaschen. Die Umkristallisation aus CH,CI,/EtOH (95%) lieferte ein weiDes Produkt mit einer Ausheute >80%. Fiir die Einkristallstrukturanalyse geeignete Kristalle wurden durch langsames Eindampfen der oben heschriebenen Losung erhalten.
