Critical thinking skills are one of the four main competencies that must be empowered in the 21 st -Century Learning. This study aimed to describe students' critical thinking skills through the application of blended-problem-based learning (PBL) in the Cell Biology course. The data sources of this research were 28 students who were taking Cell Biology Course in Department of Biology Education, Universitas PGRI Madiun. The research instruments used were 1) observation sheet, 2) interview guidelines, and 3) critical thinking skills test. The study was designed by applying blended-PBL on 12 topics. The data analysis was performed in descriptive qualitative. The results showed that the application of blended-PBL was able to train students to improve their critical thinking skills in term of how to answer the test given. However, further studies need to be done with a wider number of samples and material scope to get more comprehensive information.
One of some problems in sengon plantation is pests infestation. Eurema spp. is one of important pests which attact sengon plants in nursery and field. There are some techniques to control Eurema spp. A contro using biopesticides is one of some techniques to control some pests. This research aimed to study effect of bintaro's extract to control Eurema spp. in laboratory. The results showed that bintaro extracts have significantly effect to pest mortality and insect development. Insecticidal effects of Bintaro seeds extract is more strong than fruits and leaves extract. Bintaro seeds extract affected Eurema spp. mortality procentage is 90%, and successful making of pupa and imago are 16,67% and need 1,7 long days than control treatment. Chemical compound in bintaro extract is the most likely cause insectisidal effect to Eurema spp Paraserianthes
The application of innovative learning and lesson study (LS) have a potency to improve student thinking skills and activeness differently and mostly implemented separately. This study aimed to explore and compare the student critical and creative thinking skills as well as student activeness in the inquiry and cooperative models combined with lesson study-based learning practice. This was a descriptive quantitative study that was conducted at Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 1 of Bengkulu. The sample was two classes consisted of 33 and 32 students each that conducted LS-based inquiry and LS-based cooperative learnings. The essay test delivered to measure students' critical and creative thinking skills and an observation sheet to measure student activeness. The data were analyzed by t-test to compare the student critical and creative thinking skills as well as the student activeness between the LS-inquiry and LS-cooperative classes. The result showed that LS-based inquiry learning improved the student critical and creative thinking skills that significantly higher than LS-based cooperative learning. The student activeness improved gradually as LS cycles during learning processes in either inquiry or cooperative learning, but no significant difference between these two learning models. It showed that inquiry learning plays a dominant influence in critical and creative thinking skills improvement, whereas LS in student activeness improvement otherwise.
Abstrak: Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui dampak supervise klinis terhadap kinerja guru dalam proses belajar mengajar.Tindakan melalui supervise klinis.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan kinerja guru dalam melaksanakan proses belajar mengajar, siklus I mencapai 72% atau ada13 guru dari 18 guru sudah berhasil dalam melaksanakan proses belajar mengajar, siklus II keberhasilan guru dalam melaksanakan proses belajar mengajar mencapai 89%atau ada 16 guru dari 18 guru sudah berhasil dalam melaksanakan proses belajar mengajar.Guru mempunyai peranan yang sangat penting dalam pelaksanaan proses pembelajaran, karena guru merupakan "key person" yang berhadapan langsung dengan siswa dalam kegiatan proses belajar mengajar. Guru harus dapat menciptakan suasana yang kondusif agar siswa bersedia terlibat sepenuhnya pada kegiatan pembelajaran, sehingga tujuan pembelajaran yang telah ditetapkan dapat dicapai secara efektif dan efisien.Mengingat begitu pentingnya peranan guru dalam menentukan keberhasilan pembelajaran tersebut, maka guru dituntut memiliki kinerja yang tinggi, yaitu seperangkat kemampuan kerja/unjuk kerja guru dalam menjalankan tugas-tugasnya, terutama dalam melaksanakan kegiatan-kegiatan yang berhubungan dengan proses belajar mengajar secara profesional sesuai etika profesi keguruan.Kinerja guru sangat berhubungan dengan kemampuan dan motivasi dalam menjalankan tugas-tugasnya dengan baik dan benar. Kemampuan dan motivasi guru dalam menjalankan tugasnya tersebut dapat diperoleh melalui suatu pembinaan khusus sesuai kualifikasi yang diharapkan, baik internal maupun eksternal.Dalam sebuah lingkup pendidikan, pengawas dan kepala sekolah perlu memberikan perhatian secara sungguh-sungguh terhadap usaha-usaha mendayagunakan, memajukan dan meningkatkan kinerja guru di sekolah secara terus menerus. Early mobilization in the mother sectio caesarea is minimal movement of women done after aware of the influence of anasthesia is done in accordance with ABSTRAKMobilisasi dini pada ibu sectio casarea merupakan pergerakan minimal yang dilakukan ibu setelah sadar dari pengaruh anastesi yang dilakukan sesuai dengan kebutuhan dan kondisi fisik. Ada beberapa faktor mempengaruhi sikap ibu salah satunya adalah pengetahuam. Tingkat pengetahuan ibu tentang mobilisasi dini dapat diperoleh melalui promosi kesehatan tentang mobilisasi dini. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah ada pengaruh promosi kesehatan tentang mobilisasi dini terhadap pelaksanaan mobilisasi dini pada ibu post partum dengan sectio caesarea di RSUD Petala Bumi Tahun 2015. Metode penelitian ini quasy eksperimen dengan rancangan one group pretets-postest. Jumlah responden sebanyak 30 orang. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan cara Quota Sampling. Untuk mengukur pelaksanaan mobilisasi dini menggunakan lembar observasi. Analisa yang digunakan adalah analisa Univariat dan Bivariat dengan uji T Dependen. Hasil Penelitian menunjukkan nilai p = 0,003 ini perarti terdapat pengaruh promosi kesehatan tentang mobilisasi dini terhadap pelaksanan mobilisasi dini pada ibu post partum dengan sectio caesarea. Kesimpulan terdapat perbedaan pelaksanaan mobilisasi dini sebelum dan sesudah diberikan pendidikan kesehatan.
Zingiberaceae merupakan tumbuhan obat yang menjadi komoditas unggulan. Kabupaten Semarang merupakan salah satu sentra distribusi Zingeberaceae. Faktor lingkungan yang mempengaruhi distribusi Zingiberaceae adalah ketinggian tempat, kelembaban, suhu udara, pH tanah, dan intensitas cahaya. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengkaji jenis-jenis tumbuhan anggota Zingeberaceae, distribusi Zingiberaceae, dan pengaruh ketinggian tempat terhadap distribusi Zingiberaceae di Kabupaten Semarang. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada bulan September sampai November 2010. Pengambilan sampel tumbuhan famili Zingiberaceae dilakukan di lima kecamatan Kabupaten yang memiliki ketinggian berbeda . Analisis data dilakukan dengan menggunakan indeks nilai penting, derajat konstansi, dan analisis korelasi pengaruh ketinggian tempat terhadap distribusi Zingiberaceae. Dari hasil penelitian didapatkan 12 jenis dan satu varietas tumbuhan anggota Zingeberaceae di Kabupaten Semarang. Jenis yang mempunyai nilai penting tinggi adalah Curcuma domestica (kunyit) dan Amomun cardomomum (kapulaga). Jenis yang mempunyai distribusi paling luas di Kabupaten Semarang adalah Amomum cardomomum, Curcuma xanthorrhiza, Curcuma domestica, Zingiber americans dan Zingiber officinale. Background: Competence standard is a reference to implement the learning process in dentistry, one of this competence is knowledge that consist of learning method. The purpose of learning method is to train the clinical reasoning skill that measured by progress test. Progress test has a correlation between Grade Point Average (GPA) and Objective Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE).Objective: the objective of this study was to know the correlation between the score of progress test with Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) score of graduated dental students of Muhammadiyah University of Yogyakarta.Methods: this was an observational analytics using a cross sectional design. The subjects were 112 graduated Dentistry students of Muhammadiyah University of Yogyakarta and selected using total sampling technique. The data that used in this research was progress test score and CGPA score. Data analysis used Pearson's correlation.Result: the result showed that there was a medium correlation between progress testing score and CGPA score with a positive direction. The mean of progress test score was 45.42 and the mean of CGPA score was 3.40. Conclusion:there is a correlation between progress test score and CGPA score in graduated Dentistry students. The highest progress test score, the highest CGPA score.
