ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggambarkan kemampuan Pedagogical Content Knowledge (PCK) guru biologi senior (mengajar > 20 th) dan guru junior ( mengajar < 10 th). Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian studi kasus, partisipannya adalah dua orang guru biologi junior dan dua orang guru biologi senior. Kemampuan ini diukur dengan meminta guru membuat CoRes dan PaP-eRs pada materi transportasi zat yang dilanjutkan dengan teknik wawancara. Data dianalisis dengan teknik deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa guru senior memunculkan tujuh konsep penting yang harus diajarkan sedangkan guru junior memunculkan antara delapan sampai 10 konsep. Guru senior lebih fokus pada konsep-konsep yang cenderung menimbulkan miskonsepsi dan pada bagian sulit dipahami oleh siswa seperti konsep difusi dan osmosis, serta pembelajaran lebih kepada penggunaan metode. Guru senior lebih fleksibel menggunakan strategi mengajar, disesuaikan dengan kondisi dilapangan dan keadaan siswa. Guru junior lebih fokus pada kedalaman materi dan model-model pembelajaran yang akan digunakan. Penggunaan strategi cenderung kurang fleksibel, lebih dikaitkan pada perencanaan yang sudah dibuat. Kata kunci : Pedagogical Content Knowledge (PCK), biologi, guru berpengalaman, guru belum berpengalaman ABSTRACTThis study aims to describe the ability of a senior biology teacher (teaching > 20 years) and junior teachers (teaching < 10 years) on Pedagogical Content Knowledge (PCK). This research was a case study, and the participants were two junior biology teachers and two senior biology teachers. This ability was measured by asking teachers to make CoRes and PaP-ers on the transport of material substance, followed by interview. Data were analyzed with descriptive qualitative techniques. The analysis showed that the senior teachers raises seven important concept that should be taught while the junior teacher raises between eight to 10 concepts. The senior teachers were more focus on the concepts that lead to misconception, such as the concepts about diffusion and osmosis, and more to learning methods. The senior teachers were more flexible in the use of teaching strategies according to students conditions and circumstances. The junior teachers were focus more on the depth of the material and learning models that will be used. The use of strategies tend to be less flexible, more linked to the planning that has been made. Red Nile Tilapia of Larasati strain (Oreochromis niloticus)have capability to digest feed quite efficient, able to grow faster and diseases resistant. They are also tolerant to high salinity and more resilent to environmental change, therefore very prospecytive to be cultivated in tambaks (brackishwater pond). The objective of present work was to determine the effect of larvae stocking density and feed ration on the growth and survival rate of Nile Tilapia in brackishwater pond. The larvae was hacthed in freshwater and acclimatized gradually in brackishwater media and then reared ini cage size of 1x1x1,5meter3with different food ration (3, 5 and 7% body weight)andstocking density of 10, 15, 20 indv./m2).The result showed that the more food ration gave the better growth rate of larvae in stocking density of 10 and 15 indv./m2, the best food ration in 20 indv./m2 was 5% body weight. Upon that result it is recommended to stock the alvae at level of 20 indv./meter and gave food of 5% per body weight. The treatments was not influenced the survival rate of fish cultured. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melakukan kajian tentang pengaruh padat tebar dan ransum pakan terhadap pertumbuhan dan kelulushidupan ikan Nila Larasati yang dipelihara pada tambak air payau. Ikan Nila Larasati dibenihkan di lingkungan air tawar dan diaklimatisasi secara bertahap di media air payau sebelum digunakan dalam penelitian ini. Percobaan pemeliharaan ikan Nila Larasati dilakukan pada karamba berukuran 1x1x1,5meter3dengan ransum pakan(3, 5 dan 7% bobot biomasa ikan) dan padat penebaran yang berbeda (10, 15, 20 ekor/m2).Hasil penelitian menunjukkan pemberian ransum pakan harian baik 3, 5 dan 7% perhari pada ikan nila dengan kepadatan 5, 10 dan 20 ekor/meter menunjukkan hasil pertumbuhan berat mutlak yang relatif baik, namun untuk efisiensi pakan disarankan untuk melakukan penebaran 20 ekor/meter dengan ransum 5% berat biomasa ikan perhari. Objective: Objective of the study was to evaluate the level of salivary bone-specific alkaline phosphatase (BALP) during the pubertal growth phases in Indonesian children. Methods:The study conducted on 64 boys and 72 girls who were age group of 8-18 years old were randomly selected. Salivary BALP level were estimated using enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay commercial kits and pubertal growth phase were assessed using cervical vertebral maturation (CVM) method according to Baccetti. Mean salivary BALP was compared based on pubertal growth groups by analysis of variance test. Results:Test revealed no significant differences between groups with p=0.312. The highest mean of salivary BALP level was found in the prepeak pubertal growth phase (CVM Stage 1-2), and the lowest one was detected in the postpeak pubertal growth phase (CVM Stage 5-6). Conclusion:The using of salivary BALP as a biomarker for pubertal growth prediction is questionable.
Segara Anakan area is a lagoon surrounded by mangrove forests and muddy land. Mangrove forests have an ecological function such as spawning ground, nursery ground, and feeding ground for various biota. The destruction of mangrove forests caused by human activities is quite alarming and affects the survival of living biota in it, one of them is crabs. Changes in the structure and composition of the crabs in mangrove ecosystems caused by habitat changes can be used as an indicator for water quality by biological index approach through population monitoring, community composition, or even the ecosystem function. So that, by the study of abundance and distribution of crabs on mangrove vegetation, the results can be used as monitoring of environmental conditions of mangrove ecosystems in Segara Anakan Area. This research was conducted to determine about the composition, abundance, diversity index, uniformity index, dominance index, and pattern of distribution of crabs on mangrove ecosystems in Segara Anakan, Cilacap. The sampling was conducted in July, 2016 in 3 locations namely Panikel, Bondan, and Kalibuntu. To determine the sampling location using random method of stratification. Crab sampling using 5m x 5m transect method in 3 stations with 3 repetitions at each station. The results of this research found 12 species consisting of 3 families of crabs. Ocypodidae Family is the most commonly crabs found in 3 location. The highest abundance of crab is in Kalibuntu (1,56 ind/m2) an the lowest abundance is in Panikel (1,27 ind/m2). There are two pattern of distribution of crabs in this research, namely random and clumped. The diversity index values are in the medium category, whereas the uniformity index value is in the high category. In this research there is no dominance in all research location. Hutan mangrove memiliki fungsi ekologis antara lain sebagai tempat pemijahan, pembesaran, dan mencari makan bagi berbagai biota didalamnya. Kerusakan hutan mangrove yang terjadi karena adanya aktivitas manusia cukup mengkhawatirkan dan berpengaruh terhadap kelangsungan hidup biota yang hidup didalamnya, salah satunya adalah kepiting. Perubahan struktur dan komposisi kepiting pada ekosistem mangrove yang diakibatkan oleh adanya perubahan habitat dapat dijadikan indikator kualitas perairan dengan pendekatan indeks biologi melalui monitoring jumlah populasi, komposisi komunitas maupun fungsi ekosistemnya. Sehingga dengan dilakukannya kajian tentang Kepadatan dan Persebaran kepiting pada vegetasi mangrove hasilnya dapat digunakan sebagai monitoring kondisi lingkungan ekosistem mangrove di Kawasan Segara Anakan. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui komposisi, kepadatan, indeks keanekaragaman, keseragaman, dominansi, dan pola sebaran kepiting pada ekosistem mangrove di Segara Anakan Cilacap. Pengambilan sampel dilaksanakan pada bulan Juli 2016 di 3 lokasi yakni Desa Panikel, Bondan, dan Kalibuntu. Penentuan lokasi sampling dengan metode acak berstratifikasi Pengambilan sampel kepiting menggunakan metode transek 5m x 5m dengan jumlah stasiun sebanyak 3 dan 3 kali pengulangan pada setiap stasiunnya. Hasil penelitian ditemukan 12 jenis spesies yang terdiri dari 3 famili kepiting. Famili Ocypodidae paling banyak ditemukan pada 3 lokasi penelitian. Kepadatan kepiting tertinggi terdapat pada Lokasi Kalibuntu (1,56 ind./m2) dan terendah di Lokasi Panikel (1,27 ind/ m2). Terdapat dua pola sebaran kepiting di lokasi penelitian, yaitu acak dan mengelompok. Nilai Indeks Keanekaragaman masuk dalam kategori sedang, sedangkan nilai indeks keseragaman dalam kategori tinggi. This study was aimed to describe students' creative thinking skills in integrated science learning on the theme of water pollution using project-based learning. The method used in this study was a descriptive method. The population and sample in this study were non-science students at a university in Bogor. The instruments used in this study were tests of creative thinking skills, peer assessment and product creativity assessment rubrics. The results showed that the average test score of students' creative thinking skills was 89% (very good category). The achievement of peer assessment indicators is 87%, while the achievement of product creativity indicators is 88%. Thus, it can be concluded that project-based integrated science learning can be used to improve the creative thinking skills of non-science students
Abstrak: Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui penguasaan konsep konservasi biodiversitas guru biologi dan cara mengajarkannya. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif dengan menggunakan angket pada 31 guru SMA/MA di Kota/Kab Serang. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa 52% guru telah memahami konsep biodiversitas, namun hanya 3% yang memahami konsep konservasi. Model yang digunakan guru dalam mengajarkan konservasi biodiversitas, 58% menggunakan observasi, 45% diskusi, 23% ceramah dan 16% tanya jawab. Untuk tingkat kesukaran, 87% guru beranggapan mudah memahami materi konservasi biodiversitas dan 81% beranggapan mudah mengajarkannya dibandingkan dengan materi IPA lainnya. Guru-guru selama ini hanya 6% saja yang memperoleh pengetahuan tentang konservasi biodiversitas pada saat pelatihan. Oleh sebab itu diperlukan pelatihan-pelatihan melalui Continuing Professional Development (CPD). Kata Kunci: guru profesional, konservasi biodiversitas, continuing professional development (CPD) BIOLOGY TEACHERS’ PROFESSIONAL ABILITY IN UNDERSTANDING AND DESIGNING INSTRUCTION ON BIODIVERSITY CONSERVATION IN SMA Abstract: The purpose of this study was to gain the knowledge about biology teachers’ concept mastery on biodiversity conservation as well as how to teach it. This study used descriptive methods with the questionnaires to 31 respondents of SMA/MA in Kota/KabSerang. The research result showed that 52% respondents had mastered the biodiversity concept. However, only 3% of respondents had fully mastered biodiversity conservation. In addition, for the teaching methods 58% respondents used observation, 45% respondents used discussion, 23% respondents used lecturing and 16% respondents used an interactive method. Moreover, for the difficulty level, 87% of respondents argued that it was easy to master the biodiversity conservation materials and 81% said that it was easier to teach the concept than other concepts. Only 6% of the teachers had gained the knowledge about biodiversity conservation when they had the training. Thus, the training is urgently needed to train the teachers in order to guarantee the Continuing Professional Development (CPD). Abstrak: Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk memperoleh gambaran tahap perkembangan kemampuan Pedagogical Content Knowledge calon guru biologi yang mengikuti program konkuren. Perkembangan Pedagogical Content Knowledge diteliti selama satu tahun setelah semester ganjil dan praktik mengajar, dengan menggunakan metode Cross-sectional study. Data dikumpulkan dari CoRe dan PaP-eRs yang dibuat calon guru dan hasil wawancara. Sebagai data tambahan pelaksanaan pembelajaran oleh calon guru juga diobservasi. Data hasil penelitian dianalisis dengan teknik deskriptif kualitatif dan kuantitatif menggunakan desain konkuren triangulasi (concurrent triangulation design). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan kemampuan Pedagogical Content Knowledge calon guru biologi yang mengikuti program pendidikan guru pada pendekatan konkuren mengalami peningkatan secara bertahap dari waktu ke waktu, mulai dari pra menjadi growing PedagogicalContent Knowledge. Dari hasil tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa perkembangan Pedagogical Content Knowledge calon guru ini bersifat kontinum dan bertahap sesuai proses pada tiap tahapan.Kata Kunci: pendidikan guru biologi, pedagogical content knowledge, pendidikan guru konkuren, calon guru biologi THE DEVELOPMENT OF PEDAGOGICAL CONTENT KNOWLEDGE (PCK) OF PROSPECTIVE BIOLOGY TEACHERSAbstract: The aim of the research is to describe the development of PCK ability of prospective biology teachers joininga concurrent program. The development was studied using cross-sectional study for one year after the first semester and teaching practice were completed. Data were collected from the teachers' CoRes and PaP-eRsand interviews. As additional data, the learning processdone by prospective teachers was also observed. Data were analyzed using descriptive qualitative and quantitative techniques with concurrent triangulation design. The results show that the PCK of prospective biology teachers attending the teacher education program on concurrent approach gradually increases over time,from pre PCKtogrowing PCK. It can be concluded that the development of the prospective teacher's PCK is continuous according to the process at every stage.
