The spatial distribution of populations and settlements is in line with connectivity and accessibility within a city area. Delineation of Batusangkar City exists in 3 sub-districts and 6 Nagari, causing settlement concentration in certain areas will form a certain distribution pattern and different settlement, the occurrence of diversity patterns distribution as a form of uneven population distribution. So that information is needed regarding changes in land use and patterns of settlement distribution in relation to land use in urban planning. This study aims to discover the changes in area and distribution patterns of settlements. This research method is quantitative descriptive using secondary data and then analyzed using the nearest neighbor analysis. The results of the study showed the change in the distribution of settlements to areas close to public facilities such as offices, schools, and universities. Batusangkar City area has a Pureisolated type pattern, while based on the Alvin L. Bertrand category it has a Line Village Community pattern, then based on the calculation of the nearest neighbor analysis it is categorized as Clustered.
This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the Trans Padang Bus as a mode of public transportation in the city of Padang, which is seen from 5 aspects namely accessibility, capacity, timeliness, safety and comfort, as well as tariff or price. The data used consists of primary and secondary data. Primary data obtained through observation and structured interviews of 60 random passengers. While secondary data were obtained from literature studies and related institutions. The method used is a simple scoring technique with effectiveness class that is Effective, Quite effective, and Not effective. The results of this study found that the Trans Padang Bus as a mode of public transportation in the city of Padang is "effective" overall and for each variable. Percentage score of each variable includes Accessibility 96%, Capacity 89%, Timeliness 84%, Safety and comfort 93%, and Tariff or price 100%. The Tariff variable or price is the highest with a perfect score. This means that the tariff offered is effective and affordable. Conversely, the timeliness variable is the lowest among others but is still relatively effective. Perhaps this needs to be evaluated so that Trans Padang services will be more effective in the future.
The teacher is a profession that has an important role in realizing quality education, especially in the learning process in formal schools. For this reason, there needs to be a selection carried out in selecting prospective teachers and also a coaching process so that the teaching profession contributes to success in the world of education. This study provides an overview of the differences of teacher recruitment and development in Indonesia and England. The method used in this study is a literature study obtained from various writings in journals and books. The results obtained in this study indicate several comparison: 1) there are two types of teacher recrutment in Indonesia, namely selection of civil servant teachers in public schools conducted by the government under the auspices of the Ministry of Education and Culture, and selection carried out by foundations to become honorary teachers or part-time teachers at private schools with the provisions and rules made by the school itself. While in England, the selection is carried out by each school that will accept prospective teachers with the terms and conditions that have been determined and apply to public schools and private schools; 2) Development of teachers in Indonesia is carried out after qualifying to become teachers (both civil servants and non-civil servants) which is provided by the government or private sector, while in England, coaching is carried out before and after becoming a teacher which is the responsibility of each school.
The increasing rate of population growth in urban areas has an impact on environmental imbalances, especially related to the expansion of residential areas. The purpose of this study was to identify slum areas and illegal / wild areas (squatter areas) based on indicators and parameters for each region. This type of research is descriptive quantitative research with population is all sub-districts in Padang City with total sampling. Slum area and squat mapping results in Padang city area are scattered in 7 villages in 5 sub-districts. Bukitinggi city is the most populous city in West Sumatra, experiencing an increase in population from year to year, the limitations of urban space that causes pressure on urban space. Such as the occurrence of land conversion for the physical construction of the city, such as: settlement, trade and services, and others. Based on this research, the aim of this study is to obtain information, discuss and analyze (1) population growth of Bukittinggi City in 2000-2010, (2) to identify land use change of Bukitinggi city in 2000-2010, and (3) to identify the characteristics of change Land use due to population growth and how the utilization of Bukitinggi City space. The type of research used is descriptive research with secondary data analysis method with the support of Geographic Information System (GIS). The data used are population data of Bukittinggi City 10 years (2000-2010), Land Use Map of Bukit Tinggi City (2000 and 2010), and Map of RTRW Kota Bukitinggi 2010 as final analysis. The results showed that: (1) the population growth of Bukittinggi City in 2000-2010 was 0.02 or 2% which indicated an increase in population. The dominant factor that affects is migration (residents coming). The most populous urban village is Sapiran 12orang / km2 which is the center of TNI and Polri dormitory, while the urban village is Puhun Pintu Kabun with density of 2 person / km2, (2) land use change in settlement, rice field, mixed or moorland, Services. The largest expansion occurred from mixed or cultivated gardens of 1.75 km2. Other changes occurred in the settlement of 0.06 km2 and trade and services 0.14 km2. (3) Characteristics of land use change due to population growth in relation to spatial use dominated by mixed or mooring farms into 6.89% (174.6 ha) settlements, rice fields became 0.25% (6.4 ha) settlements, and rice fields became Mixed garden 0.55% (14 ha). Linkages to the use of space is the study of green space: Park City, Village Pintu Kabun and Bukit Apit there is development of settlements as the development of the area towards the north which needs to be done policy priorities.
