Nuestra revista inaugura una nueva serie, la séptima, que corresponde a la primera década del siglo XXI, animada por una política editorial que se propone cubrir con números temáticos y monográficos materias de larga data en nuestro país, tocando ámbitos reflexivos y prácticos que nos delatan y caracterizan como sociedad y territorio. La falta de debate y conversación profunda en medio del tráfago de los cambios y de la aceleración del tiempo, en un contexto donde los poderes fácti-cos, sobre todo de los medios de comunicación, recortan y excluyen las miradas críticas, torna urgente la creación o recuperación de espacios donde estas puedan expresarse y difundirse. Sin duda la Universidad de Chile emerge como ese sitio plural y abierto donde promover y registrar esas posiciones divergentes, pero más allá de eso se erige como campo propicio para que los nuevos y antiguos lenguajes, los viejos y nuevos problemas puedan encontrarse, interrogarse, y dejar al descubierto la densidad de sus movimientos, frente a la levedad y vacuidad que nos asola. Ese es el diagnóstico que ha llevado al Comité Editorial de Anales a pensar en un conjunto de campos problemáticos de larga duración, cuyas rearticulaciones y modulaciones en el momento actual resuenan y requieren ser conocidos, cuestionados, argumentados en la medida que involucran a la sociedad chilena como un PRESENTACIóN Sonia Montecino
