WPROWADZENIE Wystąpienia publiczne stają się coraz bardziej dostrzegalnym elementem rzeczywistości społecznej. Współcześnie, szczególnie dzięki nowoczesnym technologiom, dostęp do zarejestrowanych wystąpień jest powszechny. Felietony vlogerów, przemówienia osób publicznych, mowy TEDx czy specjalistyczne prezentacje w ramach wykonywanej pracy zawodowej-to tylko niektóre z wielu różnorodnych form, a nierzadko i rodzących się na naszych oczach gatunków. Opisując zjawisko demokratyzacji komunikacji społecznej, Tomasz Piekot stwierdza: Jak dotąd bierny odbiorca treści masowych może już wyrażać swoje poglądy i opinie publicznie-dzięki temu staje się ich producentem. Wypowiedzi "zwykłego człowieka" o wiele łatwiej niż przed laty mogą zyskać niezwykłą siłę oddziaływania (także na media tradycyjne), ponieważ ich społeczną wartość i moc tworzą wirtualne zbiorowości internautów (Piekot 2016: 14).
