Las competencias de liderazgo son clave para lograr aprendizajes de calidad en el estudiantado, por lo que su análisis es pertinente para definir planes de acción de alto impacto educativo. Así, se diseñó esta investigación no experimental, transversal de enfoque cuantitativo con el fin de conocer los niveles de desarrollo de las competencias de liderazgo de docentes en puestos directivos de establecimientos particulares subvencionados de la V región de Chile considerando la incidencia del género, años de experiencia y perfeccionamiento. Un total de 568 docentes de aula respondieron el instrumento Evaluación de las competencias del área liderazgo que los directores y jefes técnicos movilizan en su desempeño profesional (Muñoz, 2012). Los resultados muestran en general niveles de desarrollo alto, habiendo fortalezas en la comunicación efectiva y difusión del proyecto institucional, aspectos por mejorar se manifiestan en el levantamiento de información útil para tomar de decisiones y administración del cambio. De las variables independientes solo se encontraron diferencias significativas en el género a favor de las mujeres. Estos hallazgos son relevantes, debido a que en la V región no se encontraron estudios previos sobre competencias de liderazgo en establecimientos subvencionados, y a nivel del Ministerio de Educación el foco está en fortalecer el desempeño de directivos del contexto municipal, habiendo gran desconocimiento y falta de apoyo en directivos del contexto particular subvencionado.
La pandemia COVID 19, ha ocasionado una crisis, que ciertamente abre la posibilidad de trasformación y mejora educativa. En este contexto, surge esta investigación que tiene como propósito definir, desde la reflexión compartida de mujeres profesionales docentes, las oportunidades educativas derivadas del COVID-19. Su enfoque es cualitativo interpretativo con perspectiva de género. Entre sus hallazgos surgen temas como el cambio educativo, la labor del profesorado, el ejercicio de la pedagogía, la labor de las familias, la labor de mujeres profesionales docentes y tareas pendientes.
