This study aims to examine the problem of teacher performance weakness by studying emotional quotient and family environment, and its positive influence on teacher performance. The data was collected through questionnaire from 61 teachers and 183 students, which selected by multistage sampling technique. The data were analyzed descriptively and inferentially with multiple regression and correlation analysis. The result showed that: (1) emotional quotient has a positive effect on teacher's performance, (2) religiosity has a positive effect on teacher's performance, (3) family environment has a positive effect on teacher's performance, and (4) emotional quotient and family environment have simultaneously effect on teacher's performance. The findings suggest that teacher performance could be enhanced by enhancing emotional quotient and religiosity as well as family environment conduciveness.
Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui bagaimana peran guru PKn dan hambatan yang dihadapi dalam Menanamkan Karakter Cinta Tanah Air Pada Siswa di SMP Negeri 6 Kotamobagu. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif dengan pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara dan studi dokumentasi. Sumber data dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa, guru dan orang tua. Adapun penelitian ini menemukanbahwa peran guru PKn dalam menanamkan karakter cinta tanah air pada siswa di SMP N 6 Kotamobagu sanggat penting dimana, dalam melaksanakan tugasnya sebagai guru juga dapat membentuk siswa berperilaku baik, berahak mulia, membuat siswa berkarakter yang baik. Serta dapat membimbing siswa mencintai tanah air melalui upacara bendera, kegiatan ekstra kulikuler. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan penelitian lanjut tentang pengembangan pembelajaran PKn berbasis nilai karakter.
Pendidikan karakter merupakan salah satu agenda penting bagi bangsa Indonesia, bahkan jauh sebelum Indonesia merdeka. Melalui pemikiran Ki Hajar Dewantara tercermin pentingnya karakter menjadi ruh pendidikan, menjadi pilar-pilar karakter bangsa yang harus dibentuk melalui pendidikan. Bahkan ketika di awal-awal kemerdekaan Indonesia para pendiri negara (the founding father) mengagendakan Nation and Character building sebagai salah satu agenda yang menjadi tantangan bagi bangsa Indonesia yang merdeka. Hal itu nampak dalam berbagai pidato politik Soekarno, dan melihat masalah karakter sebagai salah satu masalah pembangunan bangsa yang sangat penting. Terdapat kebutuhan pembentukan karakter yang sangat penting di awal kehidupan Indonesia merdeka dari suatu tatanan kehidupan penjajahan ke suatu tatanan kehidupan bangsa yang merdeka. Dibutuhkan suatu ciri karakter masyarakat dan bangsa yang siap membangun dan mengisi kemerdekaan. Kata Kunci: Politik, Pendidikan, Pendidikan Karakter
Research purpose is to study the application of management quality with the research object at SMKN 1 Airmadidi. The method that being used are descriptive qualitative method with data collection techqniue through observation, interview, and school records documentation. The result of this research shows that the application of quality management in SMKN 1 Airmadidi sufficiently optimal on emphazising in science, skills, and confidance. The application of quality management assured can support the realization of good education system in creating a good governance.
