Calculus is a branch of mathematics that is applied to solve various problems in various fields of science such as engineering, physics, medicine, chemistry, economics, and various other sciences. However, most students assume that calculus is an elusive material. Therefore, it is necessary to have a study of the difficulties of students in solving calculus questions, given the very importance of this concept in taking the next course. This study is qualitative descriptive research that involved forty-two second semester students of the Mathematics Education Program of IAIN Palopo, and six of them are the interview subjects. In data collection, it used written tests and interviews. Furthermore, the data obtained are then analyzed through reduction, data presentation, and conclusions withdrawal. The findings show that the students get learning difficulties in reading by 52.38%, in writing by 66.67%, and in accounting by 57.14%. The factors causing these difficulties, namely students are not able to identify questions, difficulties in using integral symbols, difficulties in using proper techniques and formulas, difficulties in understanding the steps to solve partial integral problems, difficulties in calculations, difficulties in solving until the final stage of the integral process.
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pemahaman konsep matematika pada materi trigonometri siswa sebelum penerapan model pembelajaan quantum teaching, pemahaman konsep matematika pada materi trigonometri siswa setelah penerapan model pembelajaan quantum teaching, dan model pembelajaran quantum teaching efektif untuk meningkatkan pemahaman konsep matematika pada materi trigonometri siswa. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian eksperimen dengan model one-group pre-test -post-test design yang terdiri dari dua tahap yaitu siswa diberikan tes sebelum diberi perlakuan (pretest) dan diberikan tes setelah diberi perlakuan (post-test). Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah instrumen dalam bentuk uraian yang jumlahnya 4 soal terdiri dari pre-test dan post-test. Kemudian yang menjadi sampel dalam penelitian ini. Penelitian ini bertujuan adalah siswa kelas XI SMA Negeri 2 Palopo. Hasil penelitian berdasarkan data hasil pre-test siswa menunjukkan bahwa tingkat pemahaman konsepnya masih dibawah rata-rata atau 48.25% dengan kategori kurang, sedangkan setelah melakukan model pembelajaran quantum teaching dengan memberikan post-test terlihat pemahaman konsep siswa di atas rata-rata atau 84.25% dengan kategori tinggi. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa model pembelajaran quantum teaching efektif untuk meningkatkan pemahaman konsep matematika pada materi trigonometri siswa kelas XI SMA Negeri 2 Palopo.
Education in Indonesia has undergone many changes from all aspects of education, one of which is the creativity of a person created by advances in technology. Advances in technology will provide space for a teacher to create a learning media that can be used in the teaching and learning process, especially since learning is required to be carried out from home due to Covid-19, teachers are required to use technology-based learning media. Flipbooks are a form of learning media that can help meet student learning needs. This type of research is research and development, while the learning model used is the 4D development model (Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate). The instrument used in this study was a test of student learning outcomes. The subjects and objectives of the study were students of class VIII 3 MTsN Gowa on the material of two-variable linear equation systems. . Based on the results of the validator's assessment, the average validity presentation was 4 (valid). Based on the percentage of practicality, an average of 3,8 (practical) was obtained. Meanwhile, based on the results of the students' mathematics learning test, an average value of 83.95 was obtained, which means that the value had met the KKM value.
