In industrial manufacturing, wireless network can be used in supply chain, retail stock management, electronic security keys, and theft prevention. A proactive and cost effective solution advancement is needed in the industrial manufacturing to monitor and control output performance at a manufacturing plant. It is with this reason that the manufacturers require an efficient communication and real time feedback to maximize uptime and improve productivity. Consistent with the future market of new technologies deployment this invention proposes a new complete solution method and architecture of embedded active radio frequency identification with counter system through wireless mesh sensor network platform and smart data processing adopted through web-based monitoring system for industrial automation. The ability of the developed system to function in machine-to-machine wireless communication and the adoption of web-based monitoring and data centralization contributes improvement in reducing errors with human intervention. In this paper we discuss the framework approach of a smart web-based monitoring and data acquisition system on wireless mesh sensor network platform. The evaluations and measurements have been conducted in real world environments which are conducted at selected industrial production factory.
In today’s manufacturing environment, delay in monitoring output performance might cause production mess in the industry. Therefore, an efficient communication and real time feedback to maximize uptime and improve productivity seems vital. Adapting the capabilities of RFID technology and Wireless Mesh Sensor Network (WMSN) through web-based monitoring system might solve this problem. Thus, an embedded system namely ERFIDC was developed as a potential solution in addressing this demand. This paper reports the proposed embedded system architecture and evaluation of its reading range in point-to-point and WMSN setup at the selected production plant.
WIBRED is a new embedded system of Wireless Mobile Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) Reader is provide an approach of solving the complex tracking system of material flow in manufacturing industry. This new architecture is embedded with active RFID and passive RFID through wireless mesh network (WMN) platform and smart data processing adopted through web based tracking. RFID smart label solutions for cost effective to monitor and control the material flow in real time manner. The proposed architecture will be attached to smart phone with Android operating system using IOIO-OTG for monitoring and controlling warehouse management. WIBRED will scan the multiple of tags on WMN through 2.4GHz Zigbee technology with beyond 200m range on wireless mesh network platform for receive/transmit data indoor from reader to PC wirelessly. In relation to this traceability and accuracy system will become the solutions of a company to considerably decreased picking errors, reduced rework, reduced business risk and control assets and also lower correction costs. It will make the enterprise warehouse management becomes transparent and efficient work.
