Wellbeing is generally seen as an example of the condition of households, society, and people. The issue of wellbeing in the modernized world has been reviewed and explained in various ways as it is a crucial issue for a household that acts as a reflection of the comfort status among humanity. From the Islamic perspective, wellbeing can be widely explained through inner and outer fulfilment, and guiding people through a peaceful life, named as hayat al-tayyibah. The ultimate objective of the paper is to present a framework of wellbeing from the Maqasid al-Shari'âh principles. Each dimension of the principles were deliberated according to the views of scholars from the perspective of the Shari'ah. The paper highlights the operation of Maqasid al-Shari'ah as a measurable multidimensional concept, a relatively new discipline in various fields of social sciences and economics. Studies have shown that wellbeing could be explained in a multidimensional perspective using these principles.
In this era of Industrial Revolution 4.0, everyone relies on the Internet in their daily lives. Recent research shows the blooming of Internet-based milk sharing, i.e. Eats On Feets and Human Milk 4 Human Babies, which are already operating in nearly 40 countries. Both organisations mentioned use Facebook to connect mothers, and practise under a commerce-free model in which milk is not bought and sold, but is freely given. However, Muslim community cannot fully utilize this platform as Islam has several guidelines regarding human milk sharing which is not covered by them. This paper presents a framework for milk sharing online web application that complies with Islamic laws featuring storing donors and recipients data in the database, managing human milk transactions and connecting both parties in the form of ‘Family Tree’ to keep track and avoid confusion regarding mixed lineage. The research methodology base on the (1) urgent need to find a human milk supply, especially for preterm babies, sick infants and those infants that cannot be breastfed, (2) high awareness of mothers who are awarded with surplus human milk to share their milk to the infants in need, and (3) online human milk selling phenomenon that will cause confusion especially among Muslims related to mahram and heredity, their infant’s safety and health issues. As a conclusion, this system is able to provide solutions to all three interrelated issues. The privilege of this system is that it provides the opportunity for infants to enjoy human milk from other women, while at the same time linking the siblings' linkages as outlined by Islamic law.
Smartphones currently provide incredible opportunities, convenience, dependability, and everything a person could ever need. Smartphones are real-time information suppliers with advanced computing capabilities that have shrunk the inequalities in Internet access and provide more equal chances for all people around the world. The purpose of this study is to investigate how smartphones are changing society and how smartphones will transform culture, social life, technology landscape, and other facets of current society on their own. This research looks at prior studies on smartphone addiction and related issues, with a focus on emotional health and psychological well-being. Factors including mental health issues and parental isolation were found to play a significant role in the development of a smartphone addiction. At the conclusion of the publication, the researchers stressed some significant factors leading to smartphone addiction for further research in this field from the previous literature.
People have grown increasingly attracted to, and even obsessed with, the Internet as technology has evolved and a myriad of applications have appeared. Neurological difficulties, psychological illnesses, social issues, decreased academic success, sleep disruption, excessive daytime sleepiness, and environmental stresses have all been related to excessive Internet use. Due to the widespread use and increase of internet access, researchers have focused on the uses and social implications of the Online, including internet addiction among Malaysians. The current study consists of a peer-reviewed research article on internet addiction that uses the Uses and Gratifications Theory (UGT) to describe the phenomenon. This theory is focused with establishing why individuals use certain sorts of media, what needs they have for them, and how much pleasure they get from utilising them. Therefore, this study aims to identify the predictors of internet addiction and what makes this internet usage so appealing. This study contributes to the body of knowledge on the phenomenon of internet addiction by presenting relevant findings on the determinants of internet addiction in Malaysia, which are not previously available. This research will also serve as a guideline for parents, educators, and other interested parties in dealing with the issues and planning for the intervention program, which will focus on young adults.
Citizen-centric has been a major focus area for professionals, managers and scholars for nearly three decades because of its profound impact on policy making and service delivery. A massive number of studies on citizen-centric have been carried out by past scholars which resulted in a large volume of strategies but there has been little examination of these strategies in the crisis context. This study aims to produce a citizen-centric model that can be used during a crisis. There is a need to generalize the strategies that are capable of forming a universal citizen-centric model during crises. This study is an exploratory analysis of previous literatures in the context of public administration that has shed light by examining the indicators of citizen-centric concepts during crisis.
