Para entender el concepto general, es de vital importancia la división de cada una de sus partes, y definir a través de la historia su incidencia en la sociedad actual. Thurstone y Thorndike crearon un concepto de “inteligencia multifactorial”, la cual conecta un sin número de capacidades, pero cada una de ellas con tareas independientes; en cambio, Guilford desarrollo un modelo tridimensional, en la cual la inteligencia debe ser tomada en consideración por sus operaciones, contenidos y productos, esto en cualquier actividad en la cual se requiera de la misma. En el camino a una definición concreta, Horn y Cattell integran las concepciones de todos los estudios pasados y crean dos tipos de inteligencia, una inteligencia fluida responsable del aprendizaje de nuevos conceptos; y una inteligencia cristalizada responsable de la utilización de los aprendizajes previamente adquiridos, esto posicionando a la inteligencia como una serie de procesos psicológicos. Actualmente el concepto de inteligencia emocional ha sido reevaluado para dar lugar a un concepto en el cual confluyan, tanto psicólogos experimentales, como neurocientíficos y neuropsicólogos, dando lugar a una transición epistemológica y científica mucho más objetiva: las destrezas emocionales.

La fibromialgia es un síndrome crónico, caracterizado por el dolor agudo y difuso que causa deterioro significativo en las diferentes áreas de la vida de la persona enferma. De hecho, algunos factores físicos, biológicos y psicológicos tienen una creciente influencia en el trascurso de la enfermedad, en el aumento del dolor y gran impacto en la calidad de vida. Uno de los factores psicológicos destacados y que se aborda en la discusión es la depresión, teniendo en cuenta que puede mediar en la aparición del dolor. El objetivo de este artículo es hacer una revisión teórica, sobre la relación entre la fibromialgia y la depresión y su incidencia en el aumento del dolor.
En el complejo mundo de las relaciones interpersonales, el individuo se enfrenta a un proceso como la adolescencia que puede ser descrita como un periodo que transcurre entre los cambios biológicos, Psicos y psicológicos. Dado que es donde cambian los roles de niño a adolescente y donde se establece la identidad; estos procesos vienen de la mano del aprendizaje, apelando a un proceso de aprendizaje y flexibilidad cognitiva, en donde se aprecian diferentes teorías sobre este mismo fenómeno, en el cual el aprendizaje por imitación es determinante para la identificación con pares, teniendo en cuenta todos los procesos nombrados anteriormente, estos encuentran relación con "la personalidad proactiva que está vinculada a los intentos activos que realiza el individuo para efectuar cambios en su ambiente, solucionar problemas interpersonales, generar respuestas funcionales y considerar las consecuencias positivas" (Zampetakis, 2008, p. 155).
La adolescencia es un período de desarrollo caracterizado por importantes cambios en el comportamiento afectivo, búsqueda de sensaciones fuertes y experiencias nuevas, tendencia a participar en comportamientos de riesgo y experimentar estados de ánimo constantemente negativos. Esta revisión proporciona información acerca de los cambios conductuales y emocionales más comunes en los adolescentes y que son moti-vados por estimulos sociales como lo son la familia, el contexto y los pares; adicionalmente, los mecanismos neuronales asociados a los cambios no lineales de los adolescentes están centrados en las interacciones dinámicas entre la amígdala, el estriado ventral y la corteza prefrontal. Por otra parte, Los cambios de comportamiento comunes durante la adolescencia pueden estar asociados a la maduración desigual del sistema de control cognitivo y el sistema socioemocional, incluidas las fluctuaciones hormonales y el papel que juega el entorno social, estos procesos, generan influencia en el procesamiento de las emociones, toma de decisiones, comportamientos de riesgo y el factor motivacional de los adolescentes. Durante este periodo la regulación cognitiva y emocional es todavía relativamente inmadura; de manera que, el desarrollo desequilibrado puede acrecentar la probabilidad de exis�r conductas de riesgo y dificultad para evaluar las consecuencias de las decisiones en su contexto social.
