R R R R RESUMO ESUMO ESUMO ESUMO ESUMOO objetivo deste artigo é apresentar os resultados de estudo realizado em uma organização pública catarinense do ramo de informática, em que se procurou verificar se a cultura organizacional e as dependências de poder atuaram como fonte de resistência ou de aceitação à mudança implementada no seu arcabouço estrutural, no período 1991-92. O método utilizado na pesquisa é o estudo de caso. A análise dos dados foi efetuada de forma descritivo-interpretativa, com abordagem predominantemente qualitativa, em que se considerou a configuração dos componentes do arcabouço estrutural nos períodos anterior e posterior à mudança. A cultura organizacional foi abordada a partir da identificação dos valores compartilhados no grupo de dirigentes, no grupo de chefias e no grupo técnico da organização; as dependências de poder foram verificadas por meio dos interesses dos integrantes desses grupos. Os resultados revelam que a cultura organizacional atuou como fonte de aceitação, enquanto as dependências de poder funcionaram como fontes de resistência à mudança estrutural em questão. The main objective was to verify if organizational culture and power dependences acted as sources of resistance or acceptation to change of the structural framework, which took place during the 1991-92 period. As a case study, data analysis was carried out through descriptive-qualitative procedures taking into consideration the configuration of organizational structure before and after the event of major change at the year of 1991, and minor modifications that follows. Organizational culture was approached through identification of the values shared by managers at different levels and technical staff; dependences of power through the interests of both managers and technical staff. The results revealed that organizational culture acted as an acceptation source of the structural change, while power dependences worked out as source of resistance.
