Presenta algunos planteamiento teóricos que hacen referencia a la multicausalidad del cáncer, con énfasis en los aspectos psicológicos relacionados con dicha enferemedad. Las aportaciones teóricas así expresadas, recogen los avances y los resultados investigativos de numerososo autores, quienes mediante la observación del fenómeno del cáncer logran relacionarlo en su génesis con situaciones teles como: estrutura de personalidad, pérdidas afectivas y tensión emocional.
La faculta de enfermería de la Universidad de Antioquia ha diseñado un programa de postgrado en las áreas de Medicina Interna, Quirúrgica y Quirófanos, el cual en la actualidad se encuentra en proceso de revisión y aprobación. Este programa tiene como fin preparar profesionales de enfermeria que cumplan funciones especifícas, las cuales constituyen materia avanzada de enfermería en comparación con los conocimientos ofrecidos en el programa básico, el cual se orienta a preparar profesionales que brincden atención en los niveles primario, segundario y terciario, teniendo en cuenta los daños prevalente en la población.
El presente atículo hace resumen de los postulados teóricos de Nancy Roper, los cuales acoge como marco teórico; además se incluye en concordacncia con dicho marco conceptual, la definición de diferentes actividades que comprenden los apectos biopsicosociales del ser humano.A continuación describe lo que debe comprender el proceso de atención de Enfermeía según la clasificación de Yura y Walsh, plantea una serie de criterios para valorar la dependencia-independencia del individio o grupo atendidos y concluye con la propuesta de algunos indicadores de proceso que permitan evaluar la eficiencia del proceso de atención de Enfemería; indicadres de los cuales se espera, los profesionales de Enfemería acojan aquellos aplicables a su área de trabajo, redefinan aquellos que crean necesario hacerlo o construyan aquellos no incluidos en los sugeridos.
