El objetivo del estudio fue determinar la percepción de los pacientes sobre la calidad del cuidado invisible del pro- fesional de enfermería de los servicios de Medicina y Cirugía del “Hospital II de Vitarte- Red Asistencial Almena- ra”. El estudio corresponde a un diseño no experimental de tipo cuantitativo, descriptivo y transversal. La muestra estuvo conformada por 62 pacientes del servicio de Medicina y Cirugía, se utilizó un muestreo no probabilístico intencional, donde se aplicó el instrumento cumpliendo los criterios de inclusión y exclusión. El instrumento de re- colección fue un cuestionario de 27 ítems, dividido en seis dimensiones. La técnica que se usó fue la entrevista. Los resultados obtenidos fueron: en el servicio de medicina, el 60% percibió la calidad del cuidado invisible que brinda el profesional de enfermería como excelente, un 40% lo percibió como regular; por otro lado, en el servicio de cirugía, el 53,1% lo percibió como excelente, y solo un 6,3%, como deficiente. En conclusión se puede decir que en ambos servicios hospitalarios, la mayoría de los pacientes percibe como excelente la calidad del cuidado invisible.
