O desenvolvimento do canto coral como instrumento essencial na área de Educação Musical faz com que se tornem necessárias as investigações sobre a produção de materiais didático-pedagógicos para o ensino básico, médio e avançado do canto coral como ferramenta para a educação musical de crianças e jovens. A demanda por materiais pedagógicos que sejam alinhados às crescentes pesquisas nas áreas de técnica vocal infantil, partindo da interação das áreas teórico e performáticas com as áreas da educação musical, apontam a necessidade de projetos integrados em composição, interpretação, execução, pesquisa e educação musical. Partindo das propostas de Émile Jaques-Dalcroze (1865–1950) e Zoltán Kodály (1882–1967), Boysen e Enevold, pretende-se neste artigo fazer um levantamento para a produção de tais materiais, assim como da adaptação de materiais existentes, e a composição de materiais originais que contemplem as atividades de ensino, pesquisa e extensão nas três grandes áreas da música e suas respectivas interfaces e interdisciplinaridades: composição, interpretação/execução e pesquisa.
O presente artigo, pautado na pesquisa da obra de Émile Jaques-Dalcroze, trata das contribuições que sua Rítmica pode vir a oferecer à preparação do pianista, com foco na colaboração musical, à medida que tem por objetivos a superação de arritmias, automatismos e a integração entre o corpo e a audição, bem como o desenvolvimento da escuta e da criatividade. Para isso, são delineadas as particularidades dessa atuação artística, tomando como principal referência teórica a obra de Martin Katz. Entende-se que essas contribuições podem, do mesmo modo, ser aplicadas a outros instrumentistas que se dedicam à música de câmara, pelas suas semelhanças performáticas, no que diz respeito especialmente à necessidade de perceber e corresponder musicalmente ao outro em uma interpretação conjunta.
Este artigo discute a classificação dos gêneros formadores da música urbana brasileira nas categorias de música popular e erudita, desde meados do século XVII até início do século XX. Os conceitos e distinções analisados por Didier Francfort e outros autores serão aqui exemplificados nos processos de construção e desenvolvimento dos gêneros musicais formadores da música brasileira, bem como os mecanismos de apropriação e transferência de gêneros entre o universo erudito e o popular. Os gêneros analisados são a modinha, pertencente ao período colonial, e as danças europeias e gêneros executados pelas bandas de corporação no período joanino, como a polca e o schottisch, assim como seus compositores e suas influências musicais diversas, que culminaram em estilos musicais híbridos. O artigo também demonstra como o esnobismo influenciou a aceitação de compositores brasileiros pelas classes dominantes de suas épocas, e o efeito que esta rejeição provocou nos compositores e no julgamento de suas obras.

Este artigo apresenta um estudo de caso relatando experiência realizada em aulas de música de Educação Infantil na escola regular, envolvendo alunos entre um e cinco anos de idade, suas inter-relações com o sonoro e desenvolvimento da criatividade. Partindo dos conceitos de François Delalande a respeito da exploração e criação musical através de objetos sonoros, identificamos nesta pesquisa conexões com Walter Howard que também apresenta estudos na área. Concluímos que a ampliação das relações com os sons a partir da inquiribilidade, exploração e investigação aguça a criatividade e abre caminho para o desenvolvimento de habilidades essenciais ao longo da infância.
