The quality of green open space in DKI Jakarta is far from perfect. The management of maintaining Green Open Space which is still dominated by the government, especially in public parks, causes more than 50% of parks to be poorly maintained. Research Objectives are to provide management strategies to maintain public parks that involve the community (non-government) so that the park can benefit the community and the environment. Several studies in Europe revealed that community involvement can increase park maintenance activities, so the quality of the park can be improved. Research methods are using observation and descriptive qualitative analysis. Data is collected through a two-way assessment matrix of the Leopold Method to the parties that will be involved (purposive sampling). Matrix formulation is done through Delphi analysis, from the results of in-depth discussions related to the results of previous research studies with the government involved in maintenance activities. The results showed that maintenance activities require the rule of law, synergy, transparency, the possibility for community participation, and Human Resources. With this strategy, it is hoped that public parks can function sustainably for the community and the environment.
<p>A garden is an outdoor relaxation area, set aside for the display of plants and other natural habitats solitary to human life. However, due to the reduced open space in urban areas, turning parks into gardens has become common. Therefore, a roof garden is an attractive option because it is private, and accessible to only certain people. Presently, the Study Program Landscape Architecture Universitas Trisakti, Jakarta, Indonesia, has a roof garden used to support certain subjects' practical activities. However, the concept of a green pattern applied to the roof garden of this institution is not optimal. Therefore, this study aims to determine the design principles that have not been maximized in the roof garden of Study Program Landscape Architecture due to inaccuracy in the arrangement of the green pattern. This is descriptive research intended to describe and examine the characteristics, relationships, similarities, and differences of green patterns in the roof garden with other phenomena.</p>
Study of the socio-cultural function of public green open space in Serpong District, South Tangerang City. Urban communities have a variety of activities and routines with high mobility. It takes a balance between busy activities and leisure activities where people have the freedom to communicate and interact in space. The area of public green open space in Serpong District has reached 28% of the total required by Law no. 26 article 29. Most of the green open space is located in certain housing areas, so that its utilization is more focused on residential residents. . Based on these facts, this study aims to discuss the extent to which the socio-cultural functions that must be carried out by public green open space outside of residential areas can meet the needs of people who live outside the existing residential areas. A study on the social functions of public green open space will be carried out in Serpong District, South Tangerang City, with samples of City Forest 2, Health Park, and Peace Park. This study used survey method using data collection instruments in the form of observations and questionnaires which were scored based on a Likert scale. Data analysis technique is using proportion (percentage) or frequency. From the research results, it is known that the social function of public green open space in City Forest 2, Health Park, and Peace Park has been achieved, namely as a communication medium for city residents, describing local cultural expressions, recreation areas, and educational and research facilities.
The success of sustainable development, especially in rural areas, is strongly influenced by the involvement of stakeholders from the early stages (planning). Several studies in Europe show that stakeholder participation can be relied on in further management by facilitating the fulfillment of stakeholder expectations or needs. The acceleration of rural development by the government in Cibodas Village, Bandung towards an Eco-village requires stakeholder involvement. The purpose of this research is to provide a reference on the expectations/expectations of the facilities and infrastructure needed by stakeholders and the involvement of stakeholders for efforts to improve the village economy through Eco-village development. Location of research, in the area of “Rukun Warga” (RW) 12. This research uses qualitative observational and descriptive methods. Then quantified on a Likert scale. The data collection instrument used a questionnaire through purposive sampling. The results showed that stakeholder expectations were very high, as seen from the number of responses that demanded infrastructure improvements related to the development of an Eco-village in RW 12. These findings could become the basis for the design and development framework of the Eco-village in RW 12, Cibodas Village, Bandung.
Ciangsana Village, Gunung Putri sub-district, Bogor district has carried out independent waste management. There are two waste banks there, the Cantik waste banks in RW 20 and the Cinta Waste Bank in RW 21. This waste bank has also spurred local communities to process organic kitchen waste independently, but the processing results in the form of compost require more use. Continue to maintain its sustainability, especially in RW 20. The Community Service Program (PkM) majoring in Landscape Architecture coordinate and consult to create a living apothecary design model on the land around Bank Cantik and explain making it and structuring it into a park in activities counseling. The benefits felt from this PKM activity can be seen based on a questionnaire distributed to PKM participants: representatives of the Waste Bank management, PKK women, and RW management (RW heads and secretaries). The results of this PkM show that of all the participants' statements, 96% described that modeling was beneficial for the participants. Still, one participant did not need assistance in applying the design model in the field.
