The importance of safety climate on safety performance in construction has been highly acknowledged, and the definitions and elements of safety climate have been widely discussed over the years. However, researches about how to improve constructions safety climate have been less focused. The aim of this study was to find the impact of social capital on safety climate. A questionnaire of social capital and safety climate was conducted by 316 employees from 45 construction sites, and an empirical analysis was made by exploratory factor analysis (EFA) and structural model theory (SEM). The results showed that: the cognitive dimension and relational dimension of social capital are significantly positive correlation to safety climate, while the structural dimension is not significant. The findings of this study provide useful information to improve safety climate for construction enterprises.
To investigate construction safety manufacturing management from the perspective of short-term behavior, the study first gets a massive first-hand data based on fully market research, then establishes a model and further analyzes what influences short-term behavior in construction enterprises, finally uses Rough Set to reduce these factors, and then determines what we should strengthen in construction safety management.
The application of the ideas and methods of lean construction is still in its infancy in China's construction industry, there are still many factors that restrict the implementation of lean construction, and how to find the key influencing factors is worthy study. We summarized the 28 influencing factors of Implementation of lean construction through project management expert interviews and field research in the construction site, and conducted a survey of 300 construction projects, distributed 710 questionnaires. After analysis of the survey questionnaires by using rough set theory and stepwise discriminate analysis finalized the 14 key factors affecting the implementation of lean construction and construction project performance.
With the rapidly developing of our country's economy, the demand of diesel fuel is increasing. But the fuel resource is limited. Because diesel fuel's incomplete combustion can pollute environment, it is getting more and more attention of people. The current problems of saving energy and reducing consumption needed to resolve, especially diesel particulate after combustion emissions are gasoline 30 to 70 times. The environmental pollution caused by automobile exhaust already quite serious, in this new clean diesel exploring alternative fuels is imperative, the research of this aspect has also been the world attention. A bench test of 490QB diesel engine was conducted with self-developed heavy aromatic fuel mixture of coal. Road test proves that using heavy aromatic fuel mixture of coal on diesel fuel can save fuel. The power performance of heavy aromatic fuel mixture of coal was equivalent, and fuel consumption decreased and smoke emissions reduced obviously compared with common diesel fuels.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
