ABSTRACTOverfishing are increasingly prevalent in some Indonesian fishery areas due to the use of destructive fishing gear. If it continues, then the sustainability of resources feared will decrease further. Therefore a strategy is needed for eco-friendly fishery business by identifying fishing gear based on the criteria of Code of Conduct for Responsible Fisheries (CCRF). The purpose of this research is to analyze the eco-friendly fishing gear at Celong Fishing gear based on Nine criteria of CCRF. The research method used is descriptive of eco-friendly fishing gear at Celong Fishing Port in December 2017 with interviews and observations. Respondents who were taken by census was 121 respondents. The results of eco-friendly analysis resulted in a score 17.87 for arad, 27.44 for trammel net, and 28.40 for gill net. The conclusions obtained from this research are arad status is not eco-friendly, trammel net is eco-friendly, and gill net is very eco-friendly. Arad is categorized as eco-unfriendly due to its non-selective way of operating and damaging the sea base.
<p><em>AUTO-LION is a FADs innovation with a light attractor that can be activated automatically, so it can help fishermen to increase their effectiveness in fish catching, whether day or night. Study of fish behavior need to do to know the success of fishing gear and grade of fish anxiety to response that was given. Fish behavior is fish movement and fish response to the existing situation in the environment. Fish behavior can be influenced by the changes that occur in the waters and the kebiaaan fish. In the fishing coastal, fish can be attracted to fish-collecting equipment used as aids. The fish collection tool is a fishing aids that placed in the waters to attract the attention of the fish, so the fish gather in the area and facilitate the fishermen in the fishing operation. The use of light </em><em>a</em><em>tractors is considered to be able to assist the fishing process, especially the lights used at night. The purpose of this study is to determine the number of fish approaching and the average response time of fish to the different treatment that is on FADs, light, and prototype AUTO-LION (combination of rumpon and light)</em><em>. </em><em>The method used in this research is </em><em>experimental fishing</em><em> method with indication of fish response time when observation. The results of observation on the average of the approaching fish have differences in each treatment given. There was a difference (sign <0.05) indicating that the behavior of fish with the treatment of the average number of fish approaching, and no difference (sign> 0.05) time of fish to approach when treated.
Reclamation in Kamal Muara North Jakarta changes the surrounding fishery activities. It is estimated that there are changes in the ecological and economic conditions of fishermen. This study aims to analyze the ecological and economic changes that occur in Sero fishermen in Kamal Muara after the reclamation of artificial islands. This research uses a descriptive quantitative approach with a questionnaire, observation, interview, and documentation methods. The results showed that after reclamation, the fishing ground of Sero fishermen moved along the Dadap coast, Tangerang with a distance of less than one nautical mile from the coastline. In addition to fishing ground changes, the results of the paired sample t-test on the catches volume and profit of Sero fishermen showed significant changes after the reclamation of the artificial island. However, operational costs did not show any significant changes between before and after reclamation. This study concludes that there are changes in the ecological and economic conditions of Sero fishermen in Kamal Muara after the reclamation.
