17-4 PH stainless steel is one of the most imperative grades of precipitation hardened aerospace grade stainless steel particularly used in aircraft, marine vessels, nuclear industries, turbine blades, food processing equipment and oil & gas industry. It belongs to the class of difficult to cut material because of its unique properties such as high strength, high hardness and toughness including good corrosion resistance. The present study deals with comparative analysis of hole quality, surface roughness and chip characteristics when drilling 17-4 PH stainless steel with both uncoated and coated solid carbide drill bits. Dry drilling operation was carried out at two different feed of 0.10 mm/rev and 0.15 mm/rev with a constant spindle speed of 2000 RPM. Results indicated that surface finish and burr thickness could not be improved, while remarkable reduction in hole diameter and delamination factor was noted for the coated solid carbide drill bit compared to its uncoated counterparts for different machining conditions.
Friction stir welding (FSW) is widely used to join different grades of aluminium alloy but for steel material it requires high speed rotation of FSW tool which develops high temperature on tool. This review paper is concerned with the effect of temperature in the FSW process and heat generation by the high speed of rotation on the FSW apparatus. The other parameter has also studied to show the effect on FSW tool in stir welding process. In this work different research papers and their work are presented. The variety of work on stir welding process is discussed by hypothetical analysis on past performance.
A case study evaluated the impact of cold drink and plastic industries on the soil. Cold drinks industrial wastes are associated with the nutrients, undesirable substance and heavy metals to the soil. High concentrations of these parameters are risky to public health especially when the water flow from these sources is consumed by people for different purpose without any treatment. It has taken extensively study of soil sample in Narmada drinks private limited Sirgitti in Bilaspur district. Many wastes for example rice mill waste, leather industrial waste, plastic waste agrochemical waste and paper industrial waste etc. are discarded as useless in soil which indicate soil pollution. Soil samples were collected from two sampling station in Jan 2022 postmonsoon had been investigated for physicochemical parameters and heavy metals like Zn, Mn, Fe, Na and Mg by standard method as per IS guidelines.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
