Knowledge sharing is crucial for attaining a competitive edge in organizations.Knowledge and performance motivate organizations to launch new innovative products and services to sustain market advantages among competitors. Many factors have been shown to be determinants for supporting organizational performance growth, one of which is organizational culture. The objective of this paper is to analyze the organizational culture that supports knowledge sharing activities for organizational performance, innovation and strategy. This paper uses a sample of 107 cases to examine the empirical data. The results demonstrate the role of organizational culture with an innovative strategy in knowledge sharing, which directly contributes to the improvement of organizational performance.Using fsQCA, this paper relates the impact of organizational culture on the business activities within an organization.The main findings of this paper analyze and test the relation between organizational culture and knowledge sharing components for organizational strategies.
The purpose of this research is to carry out a comparative analysis of organizational factors that facilitate knowledge sharing and business process, ultimately contributing to the improvement of organizational performance. The literature considers knowledge sharing a key factor for driving innovation as well as the organization's business performance, as both explicit and tacit knowledge sharing promotes a novel robust approach for business-knowledge process. This research explores the application of fuzzy-set qualitative comparative analysis as a set-theoretic comparative analysis approach to investigate the relationships between knowledge sharing, business process, and organizational performance through the identification of key organizational operation factors. Based on empirical data collected from 28 cases, the analysis results demonstrate the important role of organizational operation factors in knowledge sharing and business-knowledge process, which directly contribute to the improvement of organizational performance.
Decision support system (DSS) is a well-established research and development area. Traditional isolated, stand-alone DSS has been recently facing new challenges. In order to improve the performance of DSS to meet the challenges, research has been actively carried out to develop integrated decision support systems (IDSS). This paper reviews the current research efforts with regard to the development of IDSS. The focus of the paper is on the integration aspect for IDSS through multiple perspectives, and the technologies that support this integration. More than 100 papers and software systems are discussed. Current research efforts and the development status of IDSS are explained, compared and classified. In addition, future trends and challenges in integration are outlined. The paper concludes that by addressing integration, better support will be provided to decision makers, with the expectation of both better decisions and improved decision making processes
Purpose
The food organisations are pushing to adopt circular economy initiatives to enhance economic–ecological–social sustainability of supply chains. The adoption of circular economy and sustainability aspects is complex from the point of view of developing nations compared to the developed nations. In this sense, the purpose of this paper is to develop a model of the challenges for implementing the successful circular economy-led sustainability concepts in food supply chains in emerging economies, especially in the Indian context.
Design/methodology/approach
The authors recognised 11 circular economy-led sustainability-related challenges and analysed appropriate interactions among the identified challenges. The Delphi method was used for the confirmation of identified challenges. The challenges were identified initially with the help of literature. Interpretive structural modelling method was used for modelling the challenges. In addition, MICMAC analysis was used for classifying the challenges based on their dependence and driving power. A case study of diary food processing company in India was conducted.
Findings
According to the findings, poor government policies, lack of technology and techniques and lack of farmers’ knowledge and awareness come under the driving challenges.
Practical implications
Understanding of circular economy-led sustainability-related challenges would help managers and policy makers in the sustainable management of natural resources in food value chains.
Originality/value
This is one of the initial works conducted on identifying and evaluating the challenges to circular economy-based sustainability aspects in food value chains.
