ÖZAmaç: Bu araştırma multiple skleroz hastalarının hastalık öncesi ve sonrası besin çeşitliliğinin incelenmesi amacıyla yapılmıştır. Gereç ve Yöntem:Araştırma İç Anadolu Bölgesinde bir ilde bir Multiple Skleroz Derneği'ne kayıtlı hastalar ile yapılmıştır. Araştırmanın evrenini yukarıda belirtilen derneğe kayıtlı 473 hasta oluşturmuştur. Örnekleme yöntemi-ne gidilmeden evrenin tamamına ulaşılmaya çalışılmıştır. Fakat araştırma planlı eğitim-seminer faaliyet günlerinde derneğe gelen 103 multiple skleroz hastası ile gerçekleş-miştir. Hastalardan 16'sı araştırmaya katılmayı kabul etmemiş ve hastalardan 7'si ise anketi tam doldurmamıştır. Araştırma 80 hasta ile tamamlanmıştır. Bulgular: Araştırma kapsamına alınan hastaların %73.8'i kadın, %58.7'si evli ve %68.6'sı ise sigara kullanmamaktadır. Hastaların hastalık öncesi tam tahıl ve kepek ekmek tüketimi %28.5 hastalık sonrası ise %44.5 olarak bulunmuştur. Sonuç:Hastaların hastalık öncesi ve sonrası tam tahıl ve kepek ekmek tüketiminde belirgin bir artış bulunmuştur. Multiple skleroz hastaları ile beslenme konusunda daha geniş araştırmalar planlaması önerilebilir.Anahtar Kelimeler: Multiple skleroz, Beslenme alışkan-lığı, Hemşirelik. ABSTRACTObjective: This study was carried out to determine comparison eating habits before and after disease of patients with multiple sclerosis. Material and Methods:Research was conducted with patients enrolled in the Multiple Sclerosis Society in a province in Central Anatolia Region. Population of the research consisted of 473 patients with the above-mentioned associations registered. All the population into were included in the study without sampling methods. Research was held with the 103 MS patients in the days of planned training-seminar activities of the association. 16 patients did not want to answer to the questionnaire and 7 patients gave incomplete data for questionnaires. Research was completed with 80 patients.Results: 73.8% of the patients enrolled in the study were female, while 58.7% were married and 68.6% are non-smokers. In this study was found a significant increase in consumption whole grains and bran bread after the disease (p<0.05). Conclusion:It is recommended further investigation with MS in nutrition planning.
