This research is based on learning activities in several junior high schools in Tangerang that have yet to be oriented to students' integration and critical thinking skills. The ability to think critically in learning can be done by growing it through electronic teaching materials like an electronic worksheet with a scientific approach. STUDENT WORKSHEET is compiled using a flip pdf builder application to support learning in the 21st century by utilizing technology. The purpose of this study was to design student worksheets in electronic form with a scientific approach to the theme of the role of biotechnology in food diversification to foster the critical thinking skills of class IX students. The research method used is Research and Development (R&D) development research with Thiagarajan development design through modifications that are tailored to the needs of researchers with being limited to the expert validation stage, which includes the following stages: Definition ( Define), Design ( Design ), Development ( Develop ). The instrument used is a material expert validation questionnaire sheet, media expert, and science teacher. The results of this study indicate the validity of the student worksheet by obtaining an average percentage value of 79.92% with a valid category which includes material experts at 63.7% with a valid category, teaching media experts at 81.96% with very valid categories, and teachers IPA is 94.11% with a very valid category.
This research was conducted due to the lack of student's awareness of the phenomenon of acid rain. The phenomenon of acid rain can be harmful to health and ecosystems. Whereas acid rain can be prevented by increasing the awareness of students by improving the quality of education, especially the ability to think creatively, which is expected to help find solutions to minimize the impact of acid rain. However, students in Indonesia have a low quality of education which causes students' creative thinking skills to be below. This study aims to determine the efficiency of Augmented Reality-based learning media in the development of creative thinking skills of seventh-grade students on the theme of Acid Rain. Augmented Reality-based learning media is a technology that combines 2D and 3D virtual objects from interactive applications, thus helping in growing students' creative thinking skills. The research method used is Research and Development (R&D), according to Thiagarajan (1974), which was adapted based on the 4-D model. This model consists of 4 stages of development, namely define, design, develop, and disseminate. But the research is limited to the development stage because this research only focuses on the efficiency level of the Augmented Reality-based learning media developed. The results of the study based on the efficiency test of learning media based on Augmented Reality with the theme of acid rain for class VII SMP obtained an average value of 88.5% in the very efficient category.
Critical thinking skills are crucial skills to be mastered by students in the 21st century. Critical thinking skills are also needed in the learning process, one of which is science learning. The Articulate Storyline learning media was developed to overcome students' need for critical thinking skills in science lessons. The research carried out is a development research (R&D) based on the Borg and Gall development model conducted by the Puslitjaknov Team. This study aims to analyze the level of validation of the Articulate Storyline learning media based on discovery learning in science learning in training the critical skills of junior high school students. The instrument involved in this study was an expert validation test questionnaire. The data presented in the study are qualitative and quantitative. Material experts who received validation results reached 88% in the "very valid" category, media experts got 100% in the very valid category, and science teachers scored 84% in the "valid" category. The discovery learning-based Articulate Storyline learning media that was developed has a good level of validation and can be used to train students' critical abilities.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
