Although many local civil society organisations (CSOs) involve in reducing the impact of climate change, the issue has been reported by a limited study. This paper addresses the gap by investigating the role of local CSOs in helping to anticipate the effect of climate change. This study looked into the case of Riau because it has many CSOs concerned with environmental problems. The objectives of this research are to classify the environmental CSOs in Riau and analyze their contribution to climate change resilience. Using a qualitative approach, the data were collected by using interviews on a series of participants, including CSO’s activists, government officials, academicians, and community leaders. We reveal that local CSOs can be classified as conservation, advocation, empowerment, and conflict resolution. Along with their own and government programs, the CSOs have been contributed to tackling climate change by ensuring forest and peatland preservation. The theoretical and practical contributions of the study are elaborated.
Tulisan ini mengurai pendekatan perilaku kepemimpinan di era milenial. Milenial behavior adalah istilah untuk menyebutkan pendekatan perilaku kepemimpinan yang berasal dari generasi milenial.Dengan segala karakteristik kepemimpinan era revolusi industri 4.0 dan dari sudut pandang pertisipasi politik generasi milenial, Partisipasi politik generasi sebelumnya terbilang masih konvensional dengan melakukan aksi demontrasi turun ke jalan untuk menyampaikan aspirasi.Sementara partisipasi politik generasi milenial lebih banyak dilakukan melalui internet dan media daring, namun terdapat kenyataan bahwa saat ini pertisipasi politik generasi milenial dengan menduduki posisi sebagai pemimpin. Penulis menguraikan fenomena perilaku kepemimpinan yang khas, seperti digital mindset, observer and active listener, agile, inclusive, brave to be different, dan unbeatable. Milenial behavior menjadi konstruksi tingkat tinggi yang terdiri beberapa komponen ideal yang memiliki pengaruh melayani, menjadi reladan dan mengorbankan keuntungan sendiri untuk keuntungan kolektif, sehingga merangsang pengikut untuk melakukan hal yang sama dan mudah digerakkan untuk berinovasi sesuai perkembangan zaman.
Tulisan ini melakukan telaah pendekatan pilihan publik dalam kasus korupsi kepala daerah di Lampung Tengah (Mustafa) dan proses politik anggaran daerahnya. Melalui telaah informasi yang diperoleh terutama dari berbagai sumber, seperti karya penelitian, buku referensi, termasuk artikel dari majalah, jurnal, tinjauan pustaka, situs web, dan makalah konferensi, diketahui bahwa pemaknaan pendekatan pilihan publik dalam politik anggaran daerah berimplikasi pada terbukanya ruang korupsi bagi kepala daerah. Kasus korupsi Mustafa sejak tahun 2018 hingga saat ini (tahun 2021) masih terus bergulir walaupun masa tahanan Mustafa telah dijalani, namun proses persidangan yang terus berlanjut memaksa banyak aktor untuk diperiksa serta membuka kasus lainnya. Interaksi Mustafa sebagai kepala daerah yang memiliki kekuasaan besar dengan swasta ketika menjabat dan selanjutnya mencalonkan diri sebagai Gubernur Lampung, dilihat melalui pendekatan pilihan publik bahwa proses penganggaran didominasi oleh kepentingan pribadi pejabat pemerintah yang ingin dipilih kembali, hasil fiskal cenderung berbeda di lembaga politik yang berbeda. Sebagai rekomendasi, pertama, perlunya perubahan cara pandang pemimpin daerah dalam mengakses politik anggaran, serta interaksi dengan lingkungan keputusannya perlu rasionalisasi pengambilan keputusan. Mempertimbangkan berbagai pendekatan yang relevan, sehingga meminimalisir potensi dan celah korupsi di daerah. Kedua, format dan klasifikasi anggaran harus direvisi untuk lebih mendukung pengambilan keputusan dan akuntabilitas. Keterlibatan warga harus dipromosikan dengan memberikan laporan yang dapat dipahami tetapi juga melalui bentuk keterlibatan yang lebih aktif. Electronic government is one of the strategies to create a more effective government. Many governments around the globe have applied electronic government, including Indonesia. Although there is various research on the electronic government in Indonesia, only a few studies have focused on analyzing the intention to use government websites, particularly the local government’s website. To address the research gap, this paper intends to statistically examine the intention to use Depok City’s website based on the user’s perspective by applying structural equation modelling. This study was carried out using a survey approach. Data were collected using an online questionnaire on the Depok’s citizens. One hundred twenty-five respondents participated in this study. Data were analyzed using covariance-based structural equation modelling. The key findings of this research confirm all developed hypotheses in which system quality, information quality, and service quality influence website intention to use. The results demonstrated in this work provide theoretical and practical implications further elaborated in the light of this paper.
The primary objective of this study is to explore the past and recent research in traditional medicine policy published by scholarly journals. From a series of reputable databases, including BMC, Cambridge, Elsevier, JSTOR, Sage, Science Direct, Springer, Taylor and Francis, and Wiley, one hundred fifty articles were collected for further analysis. Using a systematic literature review, evidence from this work shows that the predominance of traditional medicine policy research is developed from theory and empirical studies, using random sampling and qualitative analysis. There are a wide variety of subject matters studied, but the research commonly focuses on Asia, Africa, and Latin America. The future research directions in this area are discussed to address various theoretical, methodological, and empirical gaps from the prior research. This study positively contributes to our understanding of the development and trends of traditional medicine policy.
