The present study aimed to explore the anxiety level of the children with autism in Qatar. It aimed to explore whether there is any statistically significant difference between the anxiety levels of the autistic children which can be attributed to (gender, school stage, school type or family type). The researchers adopted a descriptive analytical approach. The sample consists from 250 female and male children with autism. Those children were selected from public and private schools in Qatar. The scale of the present study was developed based on the anxiety scale for children with autism spectrum disorder (ASC-ASD). The latter scale was developed by Rodgers et al. (2016). It consists from 24 items. It collects demographic data about (gender, school stage, school type and family type). The researchers concluded that the anxiety level of the children with autism in Qatar is low. They concluded that there isn’t any statistically significant difference between the anxiety levels of the children with autism which can be attributed to (gender or school stage). They concluded that there are statistically significant differences between the anxiety levels of the children with autism which can be attributed to (the school type or family type). The latter differences are for the favor of the children in private schools. They are for the favor of the children who live in families in which one parent or both parents passed away. The researchers recommend integrating the children with autism into society through engaging those children in extra-curricular activities.
The present study aimed to explore the effectiveness of a proposed program titled (creativity lamp) in improving students’ thinking skills and academic achievement and promoting creativity among them in Kuwait. This program involves several enrichment activities. The experimental group consists from 26 students. The control group consists from 25 students. Those students were randomly selected from a school named Al-Ma’moun Primary School. The proposed program is based on extracurricular activities. The teacher was trained about the way of implementing the program. The program was implemented throughout the semester. Through using the Torrance test of creative thinking-figural, it was found that the proposed program has a statistically significant impact –at the statistical significance of (a=0.001)- on the students’ academic achievement and creativity. The researchers recommend adding enrichment activities to the curricula of primary school students in Kuwait.
The present study aimed to explore the psychological security level of the disabled children in Qatar. The sample consists from 2735 female and male children. The psychological security scale was used. This scale was developed by Habeeb (2013). It consists from 20 items. It sheds a light on four dimensions of psychological security; (personal security, social acceptance, emotional security, and self-esteem). The validity and reliability of the scale were measured and considered satisfactory. It was found that the mean of the emotional security is ranked first, followed by the means of social acceptance, personal security and self-esteem respectively. It was found that the psychological security level of the respondents is moderate. It was found that the psychological security level is not affected by the type of the family that one lives in. The types of families include: stable families, families in which the parents are divorced and families in which one of the parents passed away.It was found that the psychological security level isaffected by the disability type. It was found that the psychological security level is affected by the type ofthe school that one is enrolled at. For instance, the students enrolled in public schools show a higher psychological security level than the students enrolled in private schools. The researchers suggest several recommendations and suggestions for researchers.
The present study aimed to explore the extent of practicing management by love in the inclusive schools in Qatar from the perspective of administrators at these schools. The sample consists from 342 administrators who were selected through using the random clustering sampling method. A descriptive approach was adopted. A questionnaire was used to meet the study’s goals. It was found that the extent of practicing management by love in the inclusive schools in Qatar is moderate. It was found that there is a statistically significant difference–at the statistical significance level of (a ≤ 0.05)–between the respondents’ attitudes which can be attributed to gender. The latter differences are for the favor of males. It was found that there isn’t any statistically significant difference –at the statistical significance level of (a ≤ 0.05)–between the respondents’ attitudes which can be attributed to experience, or academic qualification. The researchers recommend conducting more studies that aim at shedding a light on management by love and its impact on the performance of educational institutions.
