O presente artigo de revisão de literatura versa sobre a utilização das tecnologias da indústria 4.0, associadas às metodologias da educação 4.0 como relevante para diminuir consideravelmente as perdas no aprendizado dos alunos no ensino básico no setor público e privado nas escolas em todo o país com o surgimento da SARS-CoV-2, conhecido como o novo Coronavírus (COVID 19). A utilização das ferramentas como Meet, Zoom e Microsoft Teams, aproximaram os professores e seus alunos, antes afastados por restrições impostas por cada governo ao redor do mundo. Adaptações foram necessárias para ministrar aulas e no Brasil o ensino remoto para crianças da educação básica em instituições públicas e privadas era um desafio a ser enfrentado por muitas escolas e pais que desconheciam esse novo formato de ensinamento e a melhor forma de utilização. A necessidade de equipamentos (computadores, tablets ou celulares) associados a uma "internet" com banda larga, gerou um abismo entre o ensino público e o ensino privado em questões de instalações, condições para o acesso às aulas remotas. Em muitos casos sendo transmitidas dos lares dos professores que detinham uma boa conexão com a rede. Em contrapartida, os alunos que não possuíam acesso em suas moradias, equipamentos que comportassem a instalação dos programas para as aulas remotas ou mesmos os que apresentavam ambas necessidades. Este estudo mostra a necessidade de desenvolvimento de novas políticas educacionais pautadas na tecnologia, como fator para um ensino de qualidade com formação de excelência na educação básica e na constante qualificação dos docentes para utilização de novas tecnologias para o ensino. Não é aceitável o analfabetismo digital em um país que existe mais de 440 milhões de dispositivos digitais (computadores, notebooks, tablets e smartphones), segundo pesquisa realizada pelo Centro de Tecnologia de Informação Aplicada da Fundação Getúlio Vargas (FGV-2021).
