De acuerdo con el Instituto Nacional de Estadística y Geografía (INEGI, 2017) de México, la migración es el cambio de residencia de una o más personas ya sea de manera temporal o definitiva, con el propósito de mejorar la calidad de vida, el desarrollo personal y familiar; no obstante, la desigualdad de género hace que las causas y las consecuencias de la experiencia migratoria sean muy diferentes para hombres y mujeres, por la misma razón contribuye a que mujeres migrantes sigan invisibilizadas. En este sentido, según Godoy (2007) las desigualdades de género y los estereotipos de género permiten tener un acercamiento de esta situación, las redes empleadas para hacerlo, la inserción social y laboral en el país de acogida, así como los significados que las personas en general le atribuyan. La investigación tuvo como objetivo determinar el estereotipo que tienen habitantes del estado de Sonora, México acerca de la mujer migrante con el propósito de contribuir a la visibilización. En el estudio participaron 144 personas, utilizándose el modelo teórico de contenido del estereotipo o SCM (Fiske, Cuddy y Glick, 2006; Fiske, Cuddy, Glick Y Xu, 2002) como referente. Como resultado, las definidoras que se reconocen como más representativas de la mujer migrante son: valientes, fuertes, trabajadoras, vulnerables, luchadoras, pobres, perseverantes, necesitadas, guerreras, soñadoras, resilientes, búsqueda, responsables, tristes, amables, esperanza, mujer y oportunidades. Por lo que se concluye que a la mujer migrante se le percibe de manera positiva por la población.
La aplicación de políticas de corte neoliberal en México y el mundo, la deuda externa, la crisis económica, la ausencia de una política efectiva y eficiente, influyeron para que las franjas poblacionales más vulnerables abandonaran sus hogares en busca de oportunidades, al grado que tuvieron que recurrir a la calle para sobrevivir. La mujer en situación de calle, y en especial la mujer adulta mayor en dichas condiciones es un tema ignorado y en muchas de las ocasiones invisibilizado por completo, al grado de que la sociedad como tal, les hemos arrebatado el derecho que tienen de su propia identidad, aspecto que aniquila todo intento de salir adelante. El objetivo es visibilizar situaciones que se han mantenido ocultas, los factores que influyen, las situaciones que enfrentan en el camino difícil de su propia sobrevivencia, la identificación de factores de protección y de riesgo. La ausencia casi por completo de estudios, investigaciones y en general de literatura, contribuye a que estos saberes no hayan sido reflexionados con total seriedad y merecen tener un espacio para ser difundidos de manera prioritaria, con el fin de que podamos ser puentes que les ayuden a encontrar la motivación y la fuerza para hacer frente a la adversidad aun cuando tienen todo en contra. Sumar a una vida con dignidad, que como seres humanos tenemos por derecho, desde que nacemos, todos igual de valiosos y perfectos. Urge contribuir en la reconstrucción del tejido social, familiar y personal fracturado. Urge que asumamos que todos somos cómplices, al ignorarlas, al no hacer nada, al denigrarlas. Urge que asumamos nuestra corresponsabilidad.
La Organización de las Naciones Unidas (ONU), cerca de mil millones de personas residen en barrios marginales y viviendas inadecuadas, lo grave es que esta cifra no hace sino aumentar por la creciente urbanización, el incremento demográfico y por los movimientos migratorios (ONU, 2014). El objetivo es describir las condiciones de alojamiento con el propósito de realizar una propuesta de estancia temporal de carácter interdisciplinario. La muestra fue de 100 personas en situación de calle con edades entre 76 y 22 años, con una media de 51 años. El estudio describe las condiciones de vida y alojamiento de personas en situación de calle y se realiza una propuesta de estancia temporal.
