AbstractMicrobiological indicators of contamination of the water sources. The growth of the population on a global scale has increased the levels of contamination. This contamination is related to the spilt one of water of waste of domestic and industrial origin to the water bodies. In case of the residues of domestic origin, the load pollutant is represented by high percentages of organic matter and microorganisms of fecal origin. The control of the microbiological quality of the water of consumption and of waste, needs from analysis directed to determining the presence of pathogenic microorganisms, the agents involved in the water transmission are the bacteria, virus and protozoan, they can cause illnesses at different levels of gravity, from a simple gastroenteritis up to fatal cases of diarrhoea, dysentery, hepatitis or fever typhoid. The diagnosis of these

Abstract Mayor complex histocompatibility and vaccines development.Without doubt, the vaccines are the most viable and effective alternative for the control of the contagious infected diseases, however, a successful strategy for the vaccines design must have in consideration many of the aspects of exempt response in a heterogeneous population and in your form of recognizing and presenting the antigens of the patogens. Therefore, not only the accurate understanding of the exempt mechanisms involved in the resistance to infections but the identification of the molecules of the patogen that they are protective response target, they will be central motive of the investigation in vaccines in the immediate future. The present review article deepens in the discovery, location, expression, structure, inheritance, polymorphism and importance of major complex hispocompatibility, and presents the advances in the use of primates as model for the vaccines development.
Microbiological quality of water in dental units of a university clinic in Bogotá AbstractThis study aims to evaluate the microbiological quality of water intended for use in dental units of a university clinic of Bogotá, using the E. coli count, total coliforms, Enterococcus, Pseudomonas, in order to improve the quality of the water, optimize service quality, and provide greater safety and reliability to the patients and dentists. In this work, it was determined that the water intended for the use of the dental units does not meet, in regard to the microbiological characteristics, with the provisions of Resolution 2115 of 2007, and the Colombian Technical Standard 813 (NTC 813) because it exceeds the acceptable limits for total coliforms and Enterococcus, it also presents an important count of Pseudomonas which can lead to disease when considering factors such as the immune status of the patient.
